Impressive for 13kb! I liked the mechanic of searching for the cat and trying to chase it down. The music speeding as as you get closer to the cat is a nice touch.

Thanks, Anthony! Glad you enjoyed the chase mechanic - it was tricky fitting tension and progression into 13kb, so the music speeding up became the perfect way to build that feeling without extra graphics. Appreciate you noticing that detail!

Visually impressive, well done.

Controls via keyboard were awkward when trying to move and turn at the same time. Some options to set keys would be great.

There doesn’t seem to be much to do except collect green spheres.

A very good 3D engine though!

Thanks, Cliff! Really appreciate the feedback. The focus this time was mostly on getting the 3D working under the 13kb limit, so gameplay depth and customizable controls had to be cut back. I’ll definitely keep your suggestions in mind for a post-jam version — especially improving movement and adding more variety beyond the spheres.

Thanks a lot, xem! Really glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and the VR/online features. You’re absolutely right about the controls - supporting more layouts like arrow keys and ZQSD didn’t fit into the jam’s size limit, but it’s high on my list for improvements after the competition.

Thanks, Magnus! Happy you liked the visuals and the moving grass - that effect was fun to squeeze into 13kb. I agree the gameplay is limited; most of the effort went into building visuals. Ambient music and smoother mouse controls are both things I’d love to refine in a fuller version.

Thank you for taking on the WebXR category ambitiously without relying on any external libs. That by itself is already worth commending.

\n

Likewise, thank you for taking on our new Online challenge and sticking to the protocol (while several other games simply disregarded it entirely, reinventing what’s available).

\n

I don’t have a VR set, so I could only test on desktop and mobile. Performance on desktop was fine (though mine’s beefy) - mobile was not, but that was a mid-tier device so I kind of expected it.

\n

Your game looks really nice, you took care of all necessary controls and settings, and it feels like you’ve got a professional mindset towards the details, which is a great fundament for making great things.

\n

But… I felt that you focused a bit too much on the technical side, especially on making it look nice, and a bit too little on the “game” part of it. It didn’t feel rewarding to catch the cats, and became quite monotonous after a few catches (a fair amount of downtime and no difficulty changes / upgrades / gameplay loop variation). Similarly, Online integration works just fine technically - but didn’t really feel it had any impact on the gameplay at all.

\n

For a speedrunner - referring to your cover image - it might be different priorities, of course. I’m just not a speedrunner myself.

\n

Still, I salute you for the ambition and hope we can see you again in js13kGames 2026 with a game that is maybe just as beautiful, but slightly less demanding and a bit more “game”.

Thanks to the js13kGames team for making this jam possible — it was exactly the challenge I needed.

\n

I’ve been learning programming for three years, and since I see my future in XR development, I wanted something real and tough to push myself. Building across VR, desktop, and mobile taught me a lot, even if I’m still processing it all.

\n

I agree the game side is thin — I focused heavily on visuals and engine work, and I’m still learning compression. The speedrun mode was a late attempt to add some competitiveness.

I’ll definitely be back in future js13k jams, aiming to balance strong tech with more engaging gameplay. Thanks again for the detailed feedback and support.
