Jumping seems to be broken, I couldn’t jump over the first car, making it impossible to proceed in the game. I tested on both Edge and Firefox (both on Linux), and the jumping didn’t work properly on either browser.

A lot of interesting ideas (moving objects, getting hit by objects, talking to other zombies, particles shooting you up). Sometimes the collision was a bit broken (I could move inside the ground tiles).

I liked the zombie arm at the top with the watch!

However, I was not sure how to help other zombies (I was only able to kill(?) them with my bat.)

Interesting ideas!\nWe can see all the assets are hand-made, which give some personality, but also could deserve a bit more polishing :)

Too bad I got stuck at the first car not knowing what to do…\nAlso, I think the dialogs at the beginning could be improved, as the buttons were jumping on my screen every time I clicked next!

I would suggest for your next game to focus on a really simple game, for instance only 1 fixed level (no scrolling) and try to improve tiny things to make this level great (add sound, improve jumping animation, etc…) instead of extending the level.\nPro tip: share it with friends and family to get their feedback as soon as you have a playable demo.

I got stuck at the first care sadly, tired everything to jump over it.

Nice graphics, some sounds in there too. Including a story is always great!

As others mentioned, it’s not immediately obvious how to get past the initial obstacles. Which isn’t to say that it needs to be obvious, but my guess is that due to the unpolished jump animation players might assume that jumping is simply broken instead of looking for alternative solutions. Which - due to some issues with collisions - felt a bit like cheating.

Similar issue with how to actually help out zombies - it’s a gamer’s instinct to try out all primary controls to see what sticks, and if all controls are keys, then having to suddenly use a mouse and click a button is counter-intuitive (without additional suggestions).

Polish aside - it was a fine albeit short run back to campus.

This game looks fun.

The graphics were good, but a little small.

\n

I like the idea of racing the clock with things getting in your way, but I didn’t know what time I was aiming for.

The intro part kept jumping around as I clicked “Next” which meant the text and button did too. Maybe it’s to do with centring a variable width DOM element?

Was a little frustrating in a time limit game to have to switch between keyboard and mouse as you progress just to click the buttons prompts.

After a couple of attempts, I made it with 8 (seconds?) remaining.

The story behind this game was unique and fun! It would be great to see some polished version of the story telling pages. Another thing I would like to see is the area around the obstacle tightened. Or, if you are using squares behind the scene, perhaps make sure that the graphic for the obstacle fits the square. I found some of the obstacles hard to get over due to this but I believe its an easy fix.

This game looks funny but alas doesn’t seem to work properly. The jumping is really buggy, and doesn’t go high enough to jump over a car. Sometimes I got stuck inside the car, actually. If i jump often enough, I don’t fall on holes.\nThe game window is also reaaly tiny. You can make better use of the available screen by stretching the game to the whole window.

It is nice artwork. It is a shame that it is so small that its difficult to see. The jumping seemed very erratic and there are some bugs. At one point I could just run under the world to the end of the level

I liked the in-game introduction, and the concepts (interact with npcs or attack them) sound cool. Unfortunately the “jump” didn’t seem to last long enough to make it over the first car (maybe it needs to be a bit more floaty).

Congratulations on finishing the js13k challenge! I would have liked to see a longer game. It is possible to complete in a minute or so without much difficulty. The controls and jump mechanics are not very exact and it looks a bit strange when you bounce around like that when holding the jump button. Also, it is possible to grab a shopping cart and push it across the whole in the ground. Is this intentional?
