Very nice little game. I couldn’t make it to 13 days :(

Really enjoyed this. It felt great to explore the hex map. There was a good balance of meeting enemies that seemed impossible, then adventuring for a while and coming back and defeating them. I managed to win on my third try, which is just about right for difficulty.

I have played about half of the games this far, and I must say this is my favourite so far. I would definitely love to see a post-compo version with more polished graphics, more content and maybe fully randomized map.

Welp, there goes my weekend — I’ll be playing HoMM3 again :)

\n

I had a lot of fun playing this game. I think it’s perhaps a bit more a puzzle game than a strategy? Regardless, I still enjoyed exploring the map and getting ready for the final battle. I saved the kingdom in 10 days. (It took me 3 or 4 tries.)

\n

I was a bit disappointed that the map was the same in every playthrough, which limits the replayability factor. I’ll admit, however, that it’s how I was able to beat the game in the end — I followed a path that I devised in earlier playthroughs. On the plus side, the positions of the critters changed, which made me change my plan slightly :)

\n

The beasts (or stone behemots as I dubbed them) were quite tough and the fire mages were almost impossible to beat if they spawned as the last opponent in the final battle. Awesome work :)

It is a very cool game I love this type. I think it would be better for the font size to be bigger and for the rest very well done amazing work. GZ!

I love the look of the game, the pixel graphics are great, and the hexagon tiles remind me of a boardgame like Settlers of Catan.

\n

The way the map reveals happened was good, so that you can explore the edges of your known domain before committing to battle.

\n

It appears to matter which order you attack in, a few times I was killed straight away, so it’s good that you get the option to retreat. Having said that even when the odds seemed stacked in my favour I got defeated a few times.

\n

Perhaps as a hint when about to start a battle the player could be advised to recruit or level up?

\n

I feel like I very nearly got to the end, good fun.

I finally reached the end, due to good RNG that gave me more defense (first runs I had many speed items).\nI’m a big fan of heroes of might & magic, I might not be objective, but it’s a great entry

This was really fun!\nI haven’t been able to beat it yet after 3-4 attempts. Really challenging, but addictive enough that I keep trying!

\n

The movement/pathing is very nice!\nNice retro graphics and sound effects.

\n

Sometimes it wasn’t quite clear why I was winning/losing a battle. I understand it has something to do with my troop rating / how many troops I have. But yeah, maybe a bit more clarity about the math would be good.

\n

But anyways, very nice work! Awesome game

This game was hella fun to play. Risk-style gameplay with a few extra stats. Had to try it a few times until i was able to see the castle. Once you know the map, it becomes easier. But then i died on the last mage, and I couldn’t bring myself from playing it allover again. It was going so well!!

\n

The random enemy stats keep each retry a bit fresh, while also giving you a chance to try different things. But that also means you might be soft locked and its impossible to survive. The art is captivating, though minimal. The little animations give it a nice dynamic touch.

\n

The dooming 13th day was a good use of the theme.

\n

Would like to play different maps.

Oo, fun! Nice collection of mechanics, exploration, and combat. The permadeath is kinda brutal, especially late in the game. Fantastic pixel art, UI, controls, and sound effects. This is a really nice package. Great job, congrats!

Enjoyed playing through the game, did not win sadly but had fun trying several times.

\n

Great graphics, simple controls and intuitive to play.

\n

Would play a longer more balanced version of this.

It is amazing what you can do with only 13K, here we have a hexagonal movement strategy with excellent pixel art in which you can save your kingdom in 13 days.

\n

The enemies all seem invincible at first, but once you figure out how to earn money, recruit allies and buy equipment, it gets a little easier.

\n

I also enjoyed the combat screen very much.

awesome artstyle, the exploration-part is great!

\n

The battles… hm… sometimes it was not clear to me, why i lost. bad luck i guess (like in the boardgame “risk”)

\n

Good game!

Nice homage to the classic HOMM, I enjoyed the controls, very straight forward, and the presentation was very nice.\nIt felt a little bit - optimize movements to win - but still, fun to play.

\n

Maybe adding some powerup to spend on a battle could have made it more interesting.

\n

I’m amazed by the graphics you managed to end up with.\nThe sounds are very well in the theme as well.

The pixel graphics and surprisingly fun turn-based game is great! I don’t normally care for turn-based clicking, but it was fun getting familiar with the map and figuring out the winning strategy.

\n

It’s such a solid experience from start to finish. For a game type that I was complete unfamiliar with, the simplicity of the UI made it all so easy to understand.

Nice strategy game with a fun spin on this years theme. Reaching the Eastern capital is a really fun and clear goal, but getting there can be quite challenging though. Enemies can make unexpectedly high rolls and take your army out pretty fast. And with little options to do extra damage, it can sometimes be very difficult to progress. If you’re lucky enough to pass all enemies though - this can be a very fun adventure to experience!

Excellent yet difficult strategy game. Controls are very well thought out and gfx are excellent. At the beginning I believed it was a game of speed, but after losing several times I realized you need to take time to build and strengthen your army.

\n

Support for zoom in and out is great, however, I managed to zoom out the whole game to a pixel, with no way to zoom back in. Oops.
