Interesting game! It reminds me a bit of a really old MacOS game I played called “Factory: The Industrial Devolution.” Have you heard of it?

\n

The mechanic is unique and requires some experimentation and creative thinking. Pretty fun!

\n

The music is nice, too! Kind of Baroque sounding (??).

\n

I would say that the timings can be a bit punishing sometimes. I think in Level 4, I missed the timing 5 times in a row, and the cat looked at me judgmentally each time haha.

Got stuck on a level where you had to be very quick to change the valves, was maybe a bit slow to stop them and could not get the water out.

I think it’s a pretty good game overall, it’s interesting in my opinion to treat the theme with washing the cat and bringing its color back; the audio was pretty good too, and even though the timings were a bit harsh sometimes and the cat follows up with his judgmental look; I managed to clear all levels. Congratulation on your pipes work and good luck!

Nice original mechanics - very interesting and well paced with new ideas level on each level - great game.

\n

Some of the timing is very difficult with a mouse - so more fun on a touch screen.

lolThe concept for this game is hilarious! love it. a part of me wishes the cat would really freak out when it gets wet with a funny scrambing in-place running animation and a howling yelp. that said, the sly look it gives you when you try to pour the water too early is priceless. what a cool, original, interesting game! I wish the valve buttons were larger so I could click them more easily when moving my mouse super fast, trying to get the timing right was hard enough! I wish there was a slow-motion mode for people who have bad timing and just want the mental puzzle-solving aspect rather than the perfect timing and perfect aim aspect, which I found very challenging, but I have slow reflexes and bad aim so that’s on me lol. Wonderful work, this game turned out really fun, unique, and humorous!\n💛🐱‍👤👍

The game looks good, and the concept works

\n

I liked the music, sound effects and graphics, although the cat sprite was overly simplified compared to the rest of the graphics

It’s never a good idea to mix puzzle with timing challenges. But I can’t even call this a puzzle because the logic is just not there. Just a bunch of buttons you have to press in some kind of order. Also last level is buggy and doesn’t work.

I like the cat’s expression and the sounds. The gameplay is too hectic, it wants me to assess the situation, understand the physics and solve the sequence puzzle all in an instant, which I didn’t enjoy. I gave up after level 3.

I like the core mechanic of the game (the faucets to open/close). The timing-feature alone is also nice.

But having zero time to think about a solution (because the water is already flowing) is not so my flavour of gameplay.

Hey Homer,

\n

Kudos to you - this is a neat game! I like the water piping strategy aspect of it and it adds a cool element of strategy.

\n

My only suggestion is to have there be a consistent “transition” phase to give the player 2-3 seconds to think about a solution before it starts. That way it gives a sense of progression and fairness for slower players who like to think through solutions.

\n

The audio was great so good job on that. And controls are easy to use. Also color scheme was pleasing to the eye!

\n

I recorded the first minute of play through so that you could see my first reaction to it and the way I used it. This is often helpful from a user experience perspective to see what someone does the first time. https://youtube.com/live/jl6pC4OnVJA

Very funny concept with those fake mobile game ads and well implemented / presented! The cat animation with the look and the audio all look great and fit the theme well.

\n

The levels get pretty hard at the end and I didn’t like that the flow starts immediately when you load a level, so you have no chance at first. This would be much better if it only started after a click or something like that.

\n

Some small technical issue is that while the canvas covers the whole window, there is always a horizontal scrollbar present, which could be corrected with a bit of CSS.

Love the concept! The graphics and audio are fantastic - really polished presentation. The hydraulic puzzle mechanic is clever and unique.

\n

However, I found the instant water flow on level start pretty frustrating. Having zero time to assess the situation before everything’s in motion made it more trial-and-error than puzzle-solving for me. Made it to level 6 before giving up - would’ve enjoyed it more with a brief pause to plan my approach.

\n

That said, the physics simulation is impressive and the whole package fits the theme perfectly. Great job overall!
