Try to reach Triska cat while avoiding pinball obstacles and enemy balls.

The ball is controlled with the cursors on desktop PCs and with the accelerometer on mobile devices.

Hope you like this game!

This was good fun. A little tricky to control at times on a desktop but I got the hang of it. I liked the overall style too.

Great work on graphics, particles, sound and 2D physics. This is fun.

I had fun playing it and I finished it then it started at level 1 hopefully that was the end. Nice work with the level design, with the balance on controls. It was difficult at certain points but still fair. Good amount of difficulty with a solid pack of levels. Audio was moving but maybe could be improved more.

I like the gameplay, a good amount of challenge while still being very easy to understand. And the graphics are just gorgeous.

\n

At level 36, I fell in a hole and didn’t get the Restart modal. Is that a bug? Or maybe I had run out of lives, I didn’t notice a lives counter.

\n

There were also two little annoyances: First, you’re requiring a mouse click to restart or proceed to next level, but the game is otherwise playable with a keyboard. And second, the music channels seem to be panned either full left or full right, that kind of hurts to listen to.

Really nice! Love how slick the balls look and that collision sound is just right. I wish it was possible to trick/push enemies into holes, but that’s probably too complicated for 13kb.

\n

Controls felt a bit too sensetive on mobile, but maybe I’m just not used to them.

I liked the graphics for the game, also the motion of the balls was quite good, it had a feeling of simulated physics behind it

\n

The music was good, despite not being original, the sound effects worked well

\n

Was there a difference in the coloured balls which chased you, was there a significance to their colour?

\n

The hitting of pinball bumpers and being rebounded felt very strong

\n

Perhaps the hitbox for the player ball could be more forgiving, sometimes when I went near holes it felt the the game ball went in, whereas a ball in real life would only have a small contact point under the centre and therefore would not have fallen in?

Lots of variety in here. Love what you did with the levels. The only bugs I could find were enemy balls sometimes getting flinged around when in large groups (costed me a few lives), and a couple times the retry button didn’t appear (I think it had to do with me clicking around right before it–fortunately I could reload and resume).

\n

Graphics were very good, albeit minimal, with a proper skeumorphic look. Audio was fine, sometimes repetitive, but the overall result works quite well.

\n

I enjoyed my time with this game

Music/SFX, particles, gameplay action, everything is here :-)

\n

Maybe dont mix keyboard controls with mouseclick-popup windows. just jet them close with space, for instance.

\n

Nice game, had fun!

Hah, love the levels. Music was also great. It drove me nuts when I kept bumping in to things. But I think this was an innovative game for sure.

Great game overall, I like the concept and gameplay, and the audio is great too. At some point I faile but couldn’t try again, I don’t know why. Good luck!

This was really fun! Amazing level variety that forces the player to play differently.

\n

I like the graphics, too. Cool metallic effects, and the “fireworks” when hitting the bumpers also looked nice, I thought.

\n

Actually, I have the same two places for improvement as Andy Sommerville’s comment below:

\n
    \n
  1. I wanted to start a new level with some keyboard press; as is, I was clicking the button, and then quickly moving my cursor out of the way
  2. \n
  3. On level 36, there seems to be a bug where the level just doesn’t restart (so, that’s as far as I got in the game)
  4. \n
\n

One more thing–if you scroll down, there seems to be a collection of textures out of view at the bottom of the screen. Just curious what that is

\n

This was really fun, though! Nice game!

Good graphics, very realistic and cool sound.

\n

Level 13 too hard. And overall, gameplay is not that fun or diverse. Basically, if you touch anything - you lose control and die. Maybe gameplay could be done more forgiving/rewarding. Something like - avoid red balls (or lose SOME hp), hurl blue balls at red balls to destroy them, collect yellow balls.

⚙️ Very nice game! I stopped at level 26 — it got a bit too hard. It would be more comfortable to allow space or enter to skip to the next level instead of switching between keyboard (for gameplay) and mouse (for interface). The particle effects are excellent, and the SFX really give a metallic feel.

Great game, very original and fun to play. The audio is impressive! As other said it would have been great to be able to start next level without using the mouse, but it’s a detail, the game is really nice. Well done!

Smooth and good looking game. I would enjoy more Sonic the hedgehog levels where you gotta go fast to win, and there’s no lava. For example walls you have to hit hard enough to break, or ramps over lava.

Great game and visuals. Music is also spot on! Tight controls and a fun challenge. The UI should be keyboard controlled as well. I pressed space to click through the dialog and ended up scrolling the entire game out of view.

Neat graphics and gameplay!

\n

I couldn’t play it on mobile though, not sure how to make the ball move. I tried on Chrome/Android.

\n

I missed a way to disable the music if necessary :)

\n

Congrats!

Thank you for participating in js13kGames again and kudos for using gyroscope sensors as the mobile controls, although it’s not immediately obvious (as other comments also noted) that’s how you’re supposed to control the ball.

\n

It was also finicky in my case — FPS wasn’t quite smooth on a mid-tier mobile device, so precise control was hard in practice and became quite frustrating past the first few levels, despite the novelty.

\n

On desktop, however, everything was smooth and fun.
