Play with numbers.\nHelp Nina get rid of the triskaidekaphobia.\nGet yourself the triskaidekaphobia.
\nMain mechanic is selecting a certain number of the cards from the set which CAN’T be converted into 13 by arithmetic operations.
\nI have lovingly added some unsettling effects for when you fail. Hope they have made your uncomfortable. It’s a horror game, after all:)

\nNice intro screen with good narrative building. Nice work on some emojis too. I like the little animation you did with the pulsing boxes on the intro screen.
\nSaid there was sound, but I didn’t hear anything until I lost. Add some music and sound effects to make this game really shine - you have plenty of kBs to spare. Nice animation when you lose, very cool screen tilt.
\nIncredible amount of maths here, nice work! On the 7th round the numbers went off the screen, and there was no animation to say I had lost or won… so couldn’t end the game.
\nAdd a GitHub README and some info.

Pity you couldn’t see the end dialog, it’s quite funny, I think. And it’s strange that there were no sound - I tested it in chrome and opera, and it was there. Did not have mac to test on it.\nGame indeed could use more testing, but there is not much that can be added feature-wise, imho. And being simple and to-the-point was one of the objective for this game.

This was pretty tricky. The combinatorial explosion is too much for my simple brain. I ended using brute force search, starting with bigger numbers, and exhausting out possible combinations. Who knew there were so many ways to make 13?? The sound effects succeeded at making me uncomfortable! Nice job, this was fun!

I forgot to mentionit, but the game writes the correct solution to the browser console, so it can be used to pass the levels you get stuck on:)\nAlso, seeing the way Nina gets 13 helps figuring which cards to avoid.

I’m not sure who Nina is, but she must be a genius to be able to figure this out in a split second.

\nMy poor brain couldn’t do math well enough for the game. Making sure any combination of arithmetic wouldn’t end up at 13 was hard, especially with 4 cards.
\nWhen you lose a round it would have been nice if the game reset or something? Right now the timer just keeps going and you can’t do anything else.

If you get the wrong combination, just click the card again to take it back and continue trying other combinations until you get it right. Sorry I did not state it explicitly.

\nIt’s easy to understand and start playing.
\nGiven that the game says it will show you all the combinations and do the maths for you, It would be good if you had a submit button, so that you can experiment with selecting a few cards to see what happens.
\nHaving the game essentially “stop” when you get it wrong isn’t ideal, and the text telling you to check the console for the correct answer is just a bit too tiny and not useful for non-devs.

\nGreat twist on the story. I guess, the last level isn’t solvable without it?\nAnd nice story in general.
\nFirst I was a bit “afraid” that I would need to do all the calculations in my head and was relieved then that all possibilities are shown on the screen 👍
\nThe one audio effect was nice. Would have been nice to have a sound for success. And maybe some background music.
\nCould be a great game for school kids 😊

Sadly it gets pretty hard for me to foresee all the possible future arithmetic combinations! Also, when I lost I kept waiting and waitng for it to continue (I thought from the story at the beginning I just had to wait until “Nina recovered”) but I had to reload the game to play again.

\nIt would have been much more interesting if there had been a game over after a certain number (maybe 13?) of errors.

\nI think there’s room for mechanics improvements though: I found myself just trying a couple of combinations until I find the one that wouldn’t result in 13.
\nCongrats on the submission!

\nI didn’t immediately realize that you could reverse the selected numbers, so when I got to 13, I just reloaded the page to start over, but when I realized that you could reverse the selected numbers, everything became much better, it would be nice to somehow animate that you can return the card, or describe it in the game description.
\nNina can calculate a lot of operations! It’s almost impossible for the average person to do it that fast, so I just went through all the combos until I got the right one to move on :D.
\nI liked the story, it fits the theme very well. I also liked the sound that emphasized the result of 13.
\nIt was fun, but I think that not everyone can count like Nina, so the gameplay comes down to a simple went through all the combos for me, or I’m just too lazy to count it :).
\nWhen I went through the whole game to go to the final dialogue I had to zoom out to see the button to go - Windows, Chrome.
\nIt was fun, congratulations!

Help Nina with her math by giving her cards, but don’t let any of those cards, in any combination, equal 13. Sounds easy, but given you have to factor in the use of the operations - + * / and () it’s pretty much impossible for a regular human to play beyond 3 cards. As a result, you end up just clicking random cards until Nina is happy. I liked it was on-theme! And the story and concept is cute, too.
