Triskaideka-Cat is the star of this purr-fectly cuddly elevator caper. The story begins when our weary traveling hero seeks shelter for the evening at a Totally Normal Hotel:tm:. It turns out this hotel is anything BUT normal, and our hero finds themselves trapped by the nefarious treiskaídeka-ites.

\n

Now, you must challenge the denizens of each floor and find a way to escape before your nine lives are up. Jump, collect, flap, and fight the rascally rats that fill the hotel floors–throwing balls of yarn, bopping, and even gambling your way out of treachery. Reach the 13th floor and a fat cat boss is waiting to annoy you.

\n

Use W, A, S, D or ARROW keys to jump and move, and CLICK or use SPACEBAR to shoot yarn at enemies

“fin” Nice job! It took me a few tries before I realized that the fish grant double jumping. The surprise on level 12 was truly unexpected. I only had one life left for all of level 13, which made it quite tense. This was a great obstacle course game. Congrats!

Could use A LOT of polish. Even 1984 Alley Cat game (was it the inspiration?) had better graphics and more variable gameplay.\nIn spite of that, was fun, with the exception of the 12th level. Was I supposed to do something there, or it’s pure random?

Fun game, a little glitchy at times. Took me a while to work out the fish game double jump!

\n

Fun and funny, little more polish, maybe more forgiving hitboxes too.

Love the look and concept of the game.

\n

What is the yarn for if you can just fall on the rats to dispatch them?\nPerhaps using yarn to span gaps or climb would also be cool?

\n

It took me a while before I realised I had to click the number button to get that level to load.

\n

Some of the levels were tricky to get back up onto the platforms once I’d gone below them.

\n

I enjoyed playing it, well done

Heh, I’m not sure how I got past level 12 gambling, but I passed the game it seems with 1-2 lives left in the balance :).

\n

It was a lot of fun to play. The gameplay was intuitive, so I understood what and how without a description of the game almost immediately. I almost didn’t shoot balls of threads, I just went through the heads ;).

\n

I liked the music! But unfortunately it starts from the beginning every time with a new level, I would like it to play all the time regardless of the beginning of the levels. Therefore, I stayed at the level for a certain time to finish the music, it turned out that it really has an end, it would be good to loop it, when it ends - start again. It would also be nice to be able to turn the music on/off.

\n

Repeating half the levels only with more intensity is a pretty cool trick!

\n

It was fun to play, congratulations!

Nice cat design! Congrats on the submission!

\n

I had to read comments to understand I could double jump though :D

Not all the emojis worked worked on my chrome browser on Linux, though they worked on Firefox.

\n

Also, pressing space bar didn’t do anything, while clicking did. In general, I would consider doing some work on the keyword. For instance: if I die, I would continue or not by pressing Space/Esc.

I was really afraid at level 13, though I had to stop since my finger pain started acting up on me.

\n

I thought this game had interesting levels. I liked how they came back with slight variations. I liked level 12, because it made me go into another level to beat it. I chose level 1 for some easy yarn.

\n

I think the movement could have used some more work. 2D platformers are all about the feel. Some inertia would have helped a lot, I think. Shooting yarn was a random but welcome option, and I was surprised to see that it bounced off walls.

Nice variation on the platformer levels! I would have liked a bit more cohesive art style. A pixel art style for all of the game would have been better than the current mix.

What is it with spooky hotels in this years games?! But here we have another one. This time, you’re a cat who must escape. Use the controls to platform your way around each level of the hotel. You can collect yarn, which you can shoot at the rats, or you can just jump on their heads to kill them (which is often easier). There are also fish floating around. Collect these and you gain a double-jump. Collect lots of fish for lots of extra jumps!

\n

Graphically it’s a bit patchy, but the cat and rats are cute enough. And bonus points for using the Zzxm music from the Cuddly Demos, which was a nice nostalgia trip for me.
