You play a 13th-century apothecary stranded on an island after a house call. A boat is coming in the morning; you just have to survive the night. However, this night is swarming with the undead. Using the logic that what’s healthy for the living must harm the undead, you fight them off with your medicines.
\nAt your disposal, you have:
\nMovement is done with W, S, A, D. Cooldowns are visible in the upper part of the screen, to the right of the health bar.
\nYou get a score multiplier for killing several zombies in one shot, and if you survive to the end, you get a bonus as well.

They also spawn a little bit too often.

\nI have the feeling the enemies cheat - they move faster on diagonals and some of them sprint to you when super close. There are really no ways to defend yourself or avoid them - if you get stuck into one of the grey blocking walls, you are dead.
\nThe audio is nice but becomes super repetitive, would be nice to have some variation.

Nice visuals, very playable, and simple inputs. My main feedback is that I wish the monsters spawned in little puffs of smoke (like in Zelda games, to give you a warning) or something similar.
\nNice game tho. Good job!

If you play Space very quickly with the Left mouse button, the zombies will not die, but you will use up your supply.
\nAlthough it doesn’t really resonate with the theme of the contest in my opinion, it’s an interesting game in general.
\nThanks for game! Congratulations!

\nThe idea of the game is good, and I enjoyed exploring, but the enemies come thick and fast and just appear from nowhere.
\nThe enemies are a bit quick, felt quicker than me. Plus once they are on top of me, it’s hard to hit them as you need some distance to have an angle to attack at.

That’s a really unique concept and it makes for some very nice mechanics.
\nThe game increases in difficulty nicely as the timer goes down, which keeps the game interesting as you get further into it, which is great. Visually, the game could’ve been a bit more dark and spooky. That might’ve added a bit more to the undead/survive-the-night feel of the game.
\nBut all in all, very well done!

\nThe actual gameplay though, felt a little flat. Basically, if every enemy is a bullet sponge, then you feel like you’re endlessly waiting for enemies to die. To get the start of a nice rhythm, You just needed one more trash mob that popped in a single hit, to fill in the gaps between the bullet sponges. There are also balance issues where you’re forced to use slow and bomb to deal with the sprinters, but they’re on cool downs, so if 3 sprinters spawn in a row, it’s game over. Sprinters are also a good candidate for lower hits: they’d be about quick reactions, rather than forcing the use of slow and bomb. Then slow could be more about setting up traps to bomb.
\nI really wanted to see if there was something at the end, but after 2 tries it was a no!
