The controller support made all the difference here for me. The first time I tried playing on keyboard and it was a bit frustrating. With a controller though that all changed and I played through to the end!
\nOccasionally I got hit even though I was quite far away, which felt unfair, and I wish the smaller sword swung faster, it felt quite slow.
\nDespite those minor annoyances I thought it was a nice little beat-em-up and enjoyed it!

\nI had a lot of fun, it was a creative take on this style of game! I loved that it had a little tutorial at the start and I really enjoyed the stealing/picking up the weapon before the enemy mechanic, it gave way to many funny moments in the game!
\nNote: I have a feeling that despite being far from the long swords at the end of the game, I still got hit. I had to master dodging.

\nThe tutorial was good and very helpful. The levels had a nice difficulty progression.
\nIt would be good to be able to pick up weapons without pressing E, as a couple of times in battle I found myself needing to move and re-arm.
\nI’ll have to play again on a gamepad.

I love how you can disarm enemies and steal their weapon, such a nice touch. The huge sword has a hit radius of a SpaceX rocket, and that’s actually fun. The boss battle is cool. Great job!

\nNice feature to be able to collect weapons but also to lose them and to have mobs collect them too!
\nBetween levels my weapon was downgraded each time?
\nThe controls were good, sometimes a little hard to time the roll but worked ok.
\nNice animations and a mix of scenary.

\nI thought that I would find something in the barrels if I broke them, but I didn’t find anything, maybe I was unlucky, or it hasn’t been implemented yet.

\nThat tutorial is right on point, really perfect to pick up the game mechanics and get going.\nThe graphics are great, too bad there’s no little music to play along.
\nI really enjoyed the controls, they feel really natural.\nI do feel the start of the game is slightly too hard? You already have to fight multiple enemies barebones and the story had not started yet!
\nReally nice piece of work

\nThe combat was a little rough though. It wasn’t clear how much vertical reach weapons had (I swear I got hit by a big sword guy when I was at the bottom of the screen and he was at the top!). Hit reactions were muted, so things felt a little mushy too, like you’re not sure when you connect?
\nI did claim the treasure in the end, but I can’t say it’s because I figured out the combat, I just kept spam rushing until I got lucky :)

\nSo much about this submission hits all the makings of a successful game.
\nI am always a fan of the gameplay instructions being worked into the game flow and in this submission that was done perfectly and seamlessly with the storyline.
\nOn top of that the visuals worked very well. I am a big fan of retro looking games so it was a pleasure to see pixelated sprites with a soothing colour palette to match.
\nIt is nice to see that you kept to the theme also.
\nWell done!
