Mongolian invaders are coming from every direction. You won’t give up and will defend the last tower till the last drop of blood.

Movement: WASD. Attack: left mouse button (point the cursor in the direction of the enemy you want to attack).

Goal is to defend the tower and staying alive as long as you can.

\n

The tower is helping you out by shooting projectiles at the enemies. The worse the health of the tower, the less damage it deals. You can heal the tower by killing the invaders. You can also heal yourself by avoiding being attacked for a few seconds.

Now that’s my kind of game! Simple action games are always fun.

I wasn’t sure what the best strategy was. I tried to lure the mongolians away from the tower so it would shoot them, but they kept spawning so it didn’t work for very long, and luring them away caused them to attack me.

Add a few more animations, tweak healing, add enemy types, and you can take the game to the next level :)

Love this game ! Simple yet effective tower defence. Feedback: There is no audio which is a category for the overall rating, The background could have been made more intersting, different weapons would make it more immersive. Overall A solid entry for js13k 😀.

I liked the game concept of a tower defence with invading enemies.

At first I assumed because I started in the tower that I was an archer, but soon realised that nothing was hitting the invaders.

\n

The combination of mouse and keyboard play worked well.

\n

Lasted 49s on my first go which seemed good, but is probably average.

Works well, nice pixels, combat is simple but effective.

How I would improve, some simple games you need lots of nice feedback to the player, maybe zoom in a bit, add particle FX, a little screen shake etc to add more of a fun feeling.

Cute, simple game. The controls are not the most practical. It would be more intuitive if the mouse moves the attack directly directly, instead of the direction depending on the position of the mouse cursor. But it’s a fun game.

Unfortunately, I could not properly move: I have “search as you type” enabled in my browser, and you don’t call .preventDefault() on key events, so when I try to move, the page search opens for me.

I like how the rougelike feel to the game. The player life is sufficiently adequate to allow players to make a stand, but the tower’s life and attacks is overpowered.

\n

If you could add a “marketplace” where you can allow players to upgrade their weapons after 20 kills, or redeem a health boost, that would increase longetivity of the game.

\n

Controls are comfortable, although I was playing with a touchpad so the hack and slash was quite tiring. It’d be interesting to add touch control for the hack and slash.
