The Last Tear is a short story game.
\nSynopsis:\nPuddle has been through a tough time these days. He has recently lost his best friend Deave in a flight accident. After a few days of crying and mourning, he goes to his friend’s grave to say goodbye to him one last time…

I’m surprised you fit this much dialog in.\nCouldn’t finish the game. It got stuck on “I followed some footsteps from the well and it led me to you. Did you see them? I really need them to help a friend.” and pressing [E] didn’t work anymore.\nThe typing challenge was so hard I was shouting at my screen. There’s not enough time to read the word and then type, so i had to restart the mini-game after each word was revealed.\nThe music is really cute and the sound effects are fitting.\nOne thing that bothers me in pixel art games is when the pixel densities of the sprites don’t match and game objects are allowed to exist in sub-pixel positions. E.g. the bushed between the trees have smaller pixels. You could redraw them to has a lower resolution. The clouds moving up and down would normally also not be moving smoothly in a pixel art game.\nOther than that, very well made and wish i was able to finish. I would try again, but the cinematic portions can’t be skipped and I’m not sure I want to go through the typing challenge again.

The sound is peaceful, and the story is kinda sad! But feel more fulfilled for having completed it.

I have “search as you type” enabled in my browser, so every time I press a key it brings up the search. You should call .preventDefault() for all keyboard events to prevent this. i like the characters and atmosphere but the typing minigame is WAY to fast. only by memorizing was I able to make any progress and eventually had to give up.

Unfortunately the typing tests need work. You should give the player an extra second once the word pops up. I can type very fast, and as long as I got the first letter I was good, but there’s not enough time to go from recognizing the word to hitting the first key. Just add extra time for the very first letter and you’d be good.
\nI gave up after failing far into the first typing challenge. However, it’s really cool how many characters and interactions there are, and I like that you can moonwalk lol.
