Game looks good and sounds great, but unfortunately the platforming just didn’t work for me. I seem to jump past things a lot, or get stuck in the geometry on the other side of the platform, or fall into the space between platforms and have to restart.

Thanks for trying the game, the collision testing on the platforms is not perfect; it’s mostly about timing. Watching the shadow gives a hint when you are above the platform. Those edge cases could really be ironed out to make this a better experience.

Really enjoyed it, nice work! I made it two the final room and I overcame my fears :)

\n

I was afraid I’d have a lot more trouble with platforming and controls, but in fact, I managed just fine and I found that the character handles pretty well. Playing on keyboard, I mostly had to press two arrows for each move to align the jumps with the world’s isometric grid. I then connected a gamepad which turned out to be a much more natural input method for this kind of game.

\n

The attention to detail here is great: the particle effect, the encouraging words of the narrator, the wobbly floor effect after clearing a level. And the soundtrack is part dark, part trippy — a great choice which matches the gameplay and the neon visuals.

Neat game, nice to see your gfx-style from last year again (Fort Knight)\nI had troubles landing on raised platforms, but managed to progress after some retries.\nHard to tell, but it seems, that the player does not bounce off the right side of a pile of stacked platfroms, which looks like jumping through it.

Got stuck in between the platforms just below the key at level 3. Similar thing happened on the second stage with ghosts on the taller platforms. The game requires quite some coordination effort from player - I could not play with one hand at all, but moving with one hand and jumping with the other was ok. I feel like it could work also with fixed 4 straight diagonal directions and movement with one key only.. like Right Arrow triggering down-right movement, Down Arrow triggering down-left, etc.? At least the level design suggests that you don’t really need to move straight up or right but only diagonally.

Loving the 8-bit graphics, pink and mint colours go nicely together. Love a good introduction scene, nice work, good story building.

\n

Nice use of music and sound effects, and love the fact you made it controller-compatible; even to the point of having the controller buttons in the on-screen instructions.

\n

Great work on the graphics and dynamics, ie. having the little cloud appear when you jump on the ground on a box. Found a little glitch on the third screen/level where I can’t jump onto the second box; just kept playing around with different pixels to try and get on the box; also the character can get stuck “in” the box. This happened on all boxes. Needs a little tidy on this, but otherwise super fun!

\n

The character reminds me of the red/pink guy from Futurama 😛.

\n

I love how much you thought about the different aspects of the game and use generic platformer things like fire, boxes, spikes etc. as obstacles. I liked that the obstacles went away once you got the key.

Nice game! Lovely graphics, awesome character design and really nice level variety. I do see some graphical glitches on the edges, more apparent on mobile (iOS). The sound and music are also very fitting!

I played first on mobile, and got stuck on the spike stairs jump level. The jump controls never felt precise enough for those time critical challenges. So I decided to play on desktop too, to see if mobile controls are funky, and got stuck even a level earlier, with the first stair jump thing. So something about the jumping is trickier than it should be.

Great use of the theme though, I think this one comes closest in terms of being about phobias and the number 13 weaved in very neatly.

\n

Where just about everything would be praise, I do have one minor nitpick:\nSomething’s off with your canvas sizing (or I don’t get it). On fullscreen, it doesn’t actually scale to my entire screen (2560x1440) nor is it centered, while on lower resolutions — notably lower height, like within the iframe — it results in a vertical scrollbar. It feels like you are forcing an aspect ratio, which is perfectly fine in itself, but the actual sizing only reacts to window width, and not height somehow. I.e. when window height doesn’t exceed your ratio, it results in a scrollbar instead of trimming your canvas size down.

Nice little game. I couldn’t get very far, not because of difficulty but because I think ground detection is a bit wonky which makes jumping less than great. For what is worth, I think jumping in isometric games is always a problem and it is always difficult calculating the landing spot.

\n

Other than jumping, pretty awesome game!

Excellent game!\nCute graphics, cool musics and fits the theme! Loved the messages between each level, cool immersion in the game!\nGameplay is cool with multiple mechanics.\nI went to the 2nd “challenge” level but couldn’t achieve it. I don’t know if I missed a lot of content. But sometime there are lack in hitbox detection I think, between ghosts and some jumps which killed me many times.

I loved the isometric pixel graphics, funny dialog, and music.

\n

I tried it on mobile first and, to be honest, the touch controls were very hard to make precision jumps in the direction you want it to move.

\n

Otherwise, a fantastic game to play!

Fantastic music, and the visual style is spot on! Very lovely attention to detail, the wobbly floor, the portals, dialog boxes, everything.

Beautiful pixel art, nice music/SFX and good game design. I like how new game mechanics are introduced, and it gets harder and harder. It’s quite amazing you managed to package that much under 13kb, great job!

I love the design. It is pretty fun to play!\nA bit difficult at times, and I did get suck in a wall sometimes, but nothing that can’t be fixed in a future release. Love isometric games!\nCongrats!
