In the 13th century, a kingdom stood as a beacon of prosperity and peace. At its heart a structure said to be blessed by the gods themselves. Many tried to destroy it but in every attempt they failed. Driven by dark ambition, a neighboring realm, launched waves of archers and swordsmen to conquer it. The tower’s guardian, had lost much of his army in previous wars. He knew that facing the enemy directly would be suicide. Thus, using the tower as a strategic point, he rallied the remnants of his troops.\nEach wave of assault tested not just their strength but their unity, resilience, and cunning.\nWould the Last Tower stand or will it fall?

Zoomable realtime strategy with timespeed control in 13k? Very nice!\nI like the graphics, the animations and the handling of troops.
\nMaybe it could be even better with some more troop types (knigths on horses for flank-attacks, peasants swinging flails to bind units for the archers, etc.)
\nUnfortunately i am really bad at strategy, could not defend many waves. But it makes fun, so i tried it a couple of times! Good entry!

The “ai” logic was pretty much the same for archers/swordsman just changing initial values like attack range, I feel like knights would have similar logic but well, that is the idea of this competition!

Regarding the waves, I could reach wave 23 after lots of attempts :D it gets pretty insane, specially when your army is all over the map, and the enemies reach your “spawn line” after that there isn’t much you can do :D .

I agree on all your points, but the one on camera movement, probably depends on the screen size, I spend a lot of time adjusting that movement threshold to make it work exactly as age of empires I’m sorry you find it hard to work with, will totally try to fix it if I iterate over the game :).
\nRegarding the archers being so frighten… I feel you, it’s annoying to me too it was too late to fix that when I notice it

But the camera movement confused me for a while 🤔and i think it would be more intuitive for the camera to already be pointing on the castle!🙂 Clickable buttons to spawn stuff would be better, simpler and faster! I was struggling with the micro (on a touchpad, too), but at the same time I feel like with a good micro I could kite the enemy fairly efficiently, so that’s a good skill check right there.
\nLoved how the map ends up covered in rivers of blood, and the grass and forest are looking great.
\nThanks for choosing convenient keys for units, that’s really important in an RTS!
\nSeeing the assault units charge into battle was cool, seeing the ranged units peace out and scatter was fun and super unexpected :)
\nOne thing I’d change would be, remove the delay when buying, and spawn at the mouse. Like when playing Protoss in SCII.

Pretty cool what you were able to put in 13 KB. The only thing I was missing were sound effects.\nSome feedback to further improve the game:
\nWhen a lot of units are created, the game hangs, somehow everything froze for me. I prefer archers who shoot in place without moving away. It would also be great if, when selecting troops, I could see how many units of troops I have. As for me, it seemed to me that by the time they reach that tower, the war will be over :D.
