Fun! My best score was 146-58. The “avoid 13 territories” rule was tricky, because I didn’t understand the capture/fill rules. I’d love to see a version with more advanced AI. The current AI was great for getting started, and learning the game, but I imagine it could be much harder. Nice job!

This is a cool idea! Once I caught on to the game mechanic, it was fun to expand my territory. I could crush my demon opponent!

I think it might be cool if there were more scenarios where 💀 tiles were created, because having 13 territories possibly only happens once per game.

I like the idea that reminds me the GO game and I think you could develop this concept in a post version of the compo.\nI was stuck several times because I had 9 territories, and, as you have to add 4 territories each time, I always reached the 13 territories :(\nExcept that, the game was fun to play.

I’ve a little problem with the UI, when I click on the down arrow it make my page scroll too, a little annoying during the game.\nSome ideas of improvement :

My score is 262-75!

It wasn’t obvious for me initially, that you need to capture empty tiles to extend the territory. Without that it is not possible to avoid 13 rule and usually you start losing tiles on turn 4 and after. Might be nice to make a hint for that. When I figured the idea, the game became easier :)

Fun game idea with lots of potential!

I had to read the comments though to understand how to avoid the 13 territories.

\n

To really make it fit with the theme, there could have been additional rules, e.g. avoid rows+columns=13, or avoid the territory size to be 26/39/52/…

Interesting concept, although at the beginning I believed this was a game of conquest, with the goal being to steal opponent’s land.

I got flustered at the inability to position my troops on enemy land .. or on my own to thwart the 13-rule (since 1 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 13). Having the score displayed at all time would help make strategic decisions. For an extra bonus, have it fit to screen, independently of the resolution : it seems optimized for 1024px high screens, but the host bar at the top eat some real estate, causing the game screen to scroll.

Good game overall, a bit more polish would help it shine.

Interesting game

Lots of strategy with a Tetris style vibe so changes every play which is great

\n

No matter what I tried in the first play it kept doing a “computer says no” noise and left me with no option but to press skip to continue.

Sounds effects were very loud and a little coarse

\n

On mobile not everything fitted on the screen and it wouldn’t let me scroll around the page

I enjoyed the clever use of tetronimos here, that and the enclave rule. Something fun here, even if it is a little light on polish.
