Confront some of the 13 meanest geometric shapes you’ve ever met in this SUPERHOT VR clone made with AFRAME.
\nOnly playable with 6DoF VR headsets (Quest 1/2/3, Vive, Rift?)
\nNOTE: When hit by an enemy, the RETRY portal will reload the page. Unfortunately, since the game is embedded into an iframe of the js13k site, this will exit the VR session and force you to re-enter VR mode.

\nGreat aesthetics, not by accident reminiscent of Super Hot, which fit wel with the game play.

\n* Presumably, but the debate is open.
\nEdit: Awesome! Thank you. Now I can see why others would love to see a longer version.
\nObviously I can’t speak about the gameplay, but it looks smooth and fun. I imagine smoothness as crucial to VR experiences, more so than “fidelity” since immersion is key. Love the minimalistic aesthetics as well. I’m sure it all blends neatly together in VR.
\nIf you do decide to expand on it, my suggestion would be to continue building on that Superhot inspiration where gameplay is concerned (it’s a fun game after all), but go into a slightly more… supernatural direction. with slightly less gunplay/weapon/object use/cover, but a bit more active movement, dodging and “bullet time” powers instead.
\nThat said, I am not sure how easy/fluid it is to perform several things at once in VR.

\nIts fun to play; you could keep adding more levels!
\nEnjoyed watching your progress through out the jam, the retry did confuse me but then I didnt read the intro text!
\nClever how you have to move for time to progress, good job overall!

\nI tried playing without VR and didn’t get very far.
\nBut watching the video you posted it does look really well polished and fun to play.
\nI just need to get a VR setup so I can try it out

\nGameplay: The gameplay is enjoyable, making great use of hand controls and allowing for varied interactions with different objects through punching and shooting. I believe adding new levels could further enhance the game, making it a worthy showcase.
\nAudio: The audio is well-executed and complements the experience nicely.
\nInnovation: It’s impressive to see such a polished game created with just 13KB of code.
\nGraphics: The graphics are simple yet appealing—no complaints here.
\nControls: The controls are excellent, providing a smooth and responsive experience.

\nGameplay: All smooth and polished. I particularly enjoyed the variety of moves available throughout the game.
\nAudio: The audio felt just about right for the game.
\nInnovation: Most of the mechanics are copied from “superhot vr” as you mentioned but on the bright side, you did an amazing job in just 13k !!!
\nGraphics: Simple yet efficient and greatly reminding superhot !!!
\nControls: Enjoyable, smooth and intuitive.

The game is immediately successful in getting the player physically moving around their space and feeling inside the game. Left me wanting more levels and thinking about the use of mixed reality in future level design.
\nGraphics: While minimalistic, the visuals are nicely designed. The game shows impressive technical achievement hidden behind a minimalistic interface with clean, functional aesthetic that serves the gameplay well. The simplicity but effectiveness of bullets and trails combined with the unique geometry “boss” is nicely done.
\nControls: The controls are crisp and use grab and trigger actions in intuitive manners with high responsiveness and accuracy. Instructions for control use is clear and concise.
\nTheme: A crisp implementation of “Super Hot” style gameplay on WebXR in <13kb which is a blast to play, but may not have the most direct connection to the proposed contest theme.
\nAudio: The sound design complements the gameplay effectively without being distracting, fitting well with the minimalist visual style of a Super Hot-inspired game.
\nInnovation: Adapting this style of gameplay to WebXR within tight size constraints is impressive. However the game style itself is of course heavily inspired by existing games and may not the most innovative.
