I really like the graphics, and the controls felt right (thank you for not asking me to use my mouse in the UI when the gameplay only uses the keyboard).

\n

I wasn’t sure what a good strategy was. I guess buy low and sell high?

\n

Random events were a nice touch, I just wish they were somewhat visible on the map.

Cute game - I played around and explored some and made a bit of money - nice work

Unfortunately, I could not move properly: I have “search as you type” enabled in my browser, and you don’t call .preventDefault() on the key events, so when I try to steer, the page search opens for me.

Very nice graphics. The UI fits the game very well and it feels polished.

I started playing by just travelling around, and buying random stuff without thinking much. When I realized that I should buy low and sell high I tried to keep track of the prices, but then, for my surprise, the islands change every time. From one side, this adds a bit of challenge, but I’m not sure if it makes a lot of sense in a game about navigation.

This is a pretty well made little game. I bumped off the islands in funny ways a couple of times, but otherwise it works perfectly. Too many mean pirates though. Check out zzfx for simple sounds and music.

Graphics in this one are top notch, absolutely wonderful! The whole visual presentation was delicious.

\n

The game is interesting in principle, and just sailing about is quite satisfying, but I have to admit I couldn’t be bothered to get into the trading. I tried sailing to a few islands, and just gave up trying to memorize prices. I’m not sure I could even get back to the same island again, even if I did remember the price.

\n

I’m still surprised at the sheer amount of stuff you managed to get in here though. Opening cutscene! Random events on the high seas!

I gave the game an honest spin until i got stuck inside an island somehow. The controls are simple to graps, and the animations are smooth. It’s got a lot of potential but it’s a bit confusing and has some critical issues.\nI love the graphics although everything was a bit blurry. I ran into frequent issues while navigating, namely that the boat would bump in invisible corners of the islands, my position would suddenly jump or islands would pop in and out of existence (this might be caused by large floating point numbers).\nI found it hard to keep track of the cost of the items I’ve purchased. Maybe the game could keep track of the average cost of my items.\nAlso, i felt pretty lost in the open sea. Some sort of map to be able to find previous locations seems like something a merchant would have.\nWith a bit more time, it could become a really nice game.

Hey there!

\n

The intro is waayyyyy too long, you’re losing players with it, keep it short so you can jump in the game quickly.\nToo bad you haven’t thought of players who are not on a qwerty, you could have supported arrow keys too :)

\n

Neat design though, well done!

Interesting trading game.\nGameplay is a bit of random because of islands, if you cant plan and predict your path it’s really hard to understand the level of prices and efficient sales.\nGame have a good quality, good Job.

Different for sure, needs sound effects and an improved keyboard layout.

The graphics and color palette are really nice, and it feels good to control the ship. I was surprised I wasn’t able to use the mouse to control the dialogs, but otherwise had fun roaming around the sea. Nice work!
