WARING: DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE SURFACE PICTURES, THIS GAME IS NOT SOMETHING BIG!!

\n

Story: How will you treat the people who had cut your tail?

\n

Mobile devices supported, but not well.

\n

W : jump -drag up on the ==left half of screen== for mobile devices

\n

A : left -drag left on the left half of screen for mobile devices

\n

D : right -drag right on the left half of screen for mobile devices

\n

O : regular attack -press on the right half of screen for mobile devices

\n

P : magic attack (requires the magic bar to be full; it will basically clear the screen ) -drag up on the right half of screen on mobile devices

\n

R : replay(or, start) -basically press on mobile devices

\n

The two bars in the up left corners are HP bar and MP bar, when the MP bar is full, you can use it by pressing P (or drag up on right part of screen for mobile.).

You know, it’s not a easy job to code on a school laptop for a 15-year-old anyway……

I really like this game in its minimal stickman-y aesthetic, it takes me back to the golden days of Flash Player games that I played when I was a kid. The visual and sound FX of the magic attack is really cool. I’m probably just bad but it’s much easier to play on desktop than on mobile. Solid game, good job!

Good effort for a young gamedev. Keep coding and aim for fun in priority. Your minimalist graphics are already interesting.

It would feel more natural to jump with space, or to allow holding the attack button instead of pressing repeatedly. The magic attack charges a bit too quickly, and I didn’t really feel a progression in difficulty (I reached 118). Still, the idea is cool and has potential! 🎮\nNo ZQSD support, easy to implement ^^

Pretty fast gameplay, congrats on finishing it! The 13k jam is not the easiest one to start with :)

\n

If you are accepting tips: for keyboard-events better use “.code” than “.key”, that automagically makes your input independent from the actual keyboard-layout (like french, german, english)

Good effort! I like the little jitters of the enemies as they approach. I like the design of building up power for the magic bar to wipe them all out but they all attack so fast that it kind of gets very hectic.

So cool that you’re already participating in a competition at 15, especially on a school computer!

\n

The gameplay is a bit challenging - maybe slowing it down just a little would help. The ultimate attack is really awesome though!

\n

Great job! 👏🎮

Good job completing the challenge!

\n

I need to try this on a desktop later. The mobile controls only make the game harder.

Great job on this game. The goal is clear and the controls mostly intuitive (I’d have preferred jumping with space rather than W). I feel like ducking would have worked well to dodge the enemies on the upper row, and I’d have love some form of visual (explosion? blood?) when I hit an enemy. At first I wasn’t sure if I was actually doing any damage. Also, I suppose, the player character doesn’t quite look like a cat to me ;)

\n

Keep at it!!

Well done finishing the game! It works great and has potential.

\n

I liked the minimalistic black and white graphics but I could’ve fit the theme more if e.g. the main character was a black cat. I would’ve liked some indication on hit and maybe an HP meter for the enemies would be helpful. The gameplay is pretty nice, fast and challenging!

\n

Good job adding some audio as well, it’s not easy to fit everything into the size limit.

\n

I’m exited to see what other games you’ll come up with in the future!

Thanks for your submission! First, I can’t know how much effort you’ve put on the game, so don’t mind me if I get cliché or repeat ideas you simply didn’t get the time (or kb) to finish. Second, great you have finished and shipped a complete game!

\n

Great work on having a complete loop with a start of the game, a fight and then the outcome.

\n

I liked the creativity of the flying creatures – it was probably simpler to implement an enemy above the floor and without changing anything you had a flying enemy. They took me some work and always wished for having the magic attack to not have to deal with them.

\n

Also I enjoyed the magic attack very much, it gave some pacing to the game. I was going to suggest to add some “waves” functionality to give the players a place to rest and take the breath before the next run, but I guess the magic power does play this role here.

\n

I wished the jump was done through the space bar. In pressure moments I was spamming the space bar trying to hit the flying creatures.

\n

I was thinking about where you could take this game next, and the thing that got me really thinking was how to make the play field more interesting. I think more enemies would be definitely a given, but if they are all coming directly at the player on this linear fashion, this would make for a bit repetitive play. And I think for the space you have, you covered for all the enemies? Slow, fast and the flying ones.

Good work on this game!

\n

I felt that the submission was a solid one, although it would have been great to have a little bit more in terms of graphics and graphic elements to keep the user engaged. I know that’s difficult at 13kb but worth seeing some others animation effects.

\n

Very impressive that you did this on a school laptop, you should be very proud of yourself! This is a solid submission.

\n

I recorded a video review for all the games here so that you can see my initial reaction while playing your game, which is often quite helpful from a user experience perspective. https://www.youtube.com/live/jl6pC4OnVJA?si=hadQmN9JZB93hDUM

cool game, nice that you made it at 15, I’m 14 and I was going to enter but forgot until it was too late. nice to know there are others like me.

Congrats on your game

\n

It was easy to understand and play

\n

I like the simple but effective graphics

\n

The sound effect on death was cool, sounded like a sample

\n

For me the magic bar never seemed to fill up, so I couldn’t use it

\n

The difficulty may be a bit hard at the start
