You play as a princess who needs to cure the plagued villagers from the rats of Corinium.
\nClick or press where you want to walk to and the princess will find the best route there.
\nWatch out for enemies which will chase you when you get too close and will hurt you. There are also shy characters who will run away if you get too close.
\nThe rats will hunt out villagers to infect them. If a villager notices a rat nearby they will flee somewhere else, and only come back if it’s safe to do so.
\nBut if a villager and rat cross paths the rat will infect the villager and once below 80% health they will start bleeding a red, green or blue coloured blood.
\nTo heal them, you need to be holding a potion which is coloured the same as the blood coming from the villager. Or a white potion will cure any villager.
\nUse keys to enter some buildings, make good use of the Wizard’s shop.
\nTo succeed, you need to collect all coins, potions and contents of treasure chests and make sure the villagers are not all infected.
\nControls are touchscreen where available or use mouse on desktop.

It took a bit for me to understand exactly what was happening, but after that it wasn’t too hard to keep the villagers healthy. Nice visual effects, like the opening chests & sickness.
\nI really wanted the signs to have messages when walking over them.
\nI’m not sure if there was a “win” screen? I played for a while, and pretty sure I collected everything, so I can’t tell if at some point, the whole game froze randomly or if I collected the last item and the freezing was that I had gotten everything and won.

Had to switch to the description few times to understand what’s going on and to learn how to move. Managed to collect 8 keys and 41 coins, however, was not sure what’s next. And was hoping to pick up a weapon to get rid of the rat :D
\nOverall, I was surprised with the world available that you can explore — even enter buildings and different floors. However, would be nice to add some in-game messages to help with the start.

The path finding worked well as long as you dont click twice in the same spot (I like to keep clicking).
\nGreat that you can explore and enter buildings.
\nI collected quite a lot but not sure if there is a win screen?
\nGood job.

\nYes, the clicking to move was meant to be click once and wait for the character to get there, but others have said that multiple clicks don’t work as expected. Clicking on a square that you can’t get onto won’t make the character move towards it. Perhaps moving to the nearest available space would be better.

\nI didn’t get what the enemies do. The description say they will hurt me, but I didn’t see any health bar, and I just ignored them the whole time and nothing happened. I also just ignored all the villagers, and just accidentally cured them if they crossed my way.
\nThe mouse control didn’t feel very natural to me, cause when I clicked the first time, the camera would start to move, then it was hard to click at some other point if I changed my mind.
\nAfter I collected all the items the game just froze, and I had to kill the browser.

\nSo the message popups I added didn’t work after I minified the code to submit, but they told you the general aim of the game, that doors needed keys and when you completed the game.
\nAs for the NPCs, some of them are enemies who attack and chase you when you get too close, and some of them are scared of you and will run away when you approach.
\nYou do get a health bar when hurt by the enemies, but once this has expired you don’t actually die. I was going to use the weapons to attack the enemies but ran out of time.
\nWith the villagers, you need to take note of the colour of the “blood” they are spurting when they loose more than 80% health. Then if you are holding a potion of the same colour as their blood or a white “cure all” potion, then you can heal them.
\nInstead of freezing at the end, you should have seen a message saying you’d completed it, but as I say, this was lost during minification.
\nThanks for playing

The graphics are lovely, and it has really nice little touches like the particle effects, world map, the ability to enter buildings, the Wizards Shop, etc. Controls are simple. The Princess moves accurately and swiftly where you click, and the camera is smooth.
\nThe only downside was I wasn’t entirely sure what to do. The enemies didn’t seem to hurt me. My health bar vanished when a spider sat on me, but once it ran out, I could carry on just fine. This is probably just as well because despite there being swords and bows lying around, you couldn’t seem to pick them up anyway.
\nCuring the villagers was pretty easy - just run through them or wait for them to walk through you :) I think there is the kernel of a really nice game here, and with a few more gameplay elements implemented, it would be something special.

\nThe sign posts dotted around the level provided the player with hints and aims of the game, but somehow this was lost by the minification process, and I hadn’t tested the minified code enough to notice this unfortunately.
\nThe health bar on your character does reduce when hurt by enemies, but you’re right nothing then happens when you run out of health. This was because I ran out of time. I’d intended to make the player move slower. Also as noted the weapons and attacks were not implemented.
\nThe infected villagers spewing coloured blood required you to have a potion of the same colour to be able to heal them, if they die the become ghosts and haunt the graveyard at top right.
\nThanks once again

The graphics are adorable, your pathfinding is clean, there are already items and interactions there, even buildings to enter with multiple floors!
\nAs for the missing combat… you know, it’s kinda nice not to have combat. I like that you’re a healer. Maybe lean into that even more: no direct combat, but healthy villagers will come to your aid, so all you have to do is keep everyone healed (and maybe deliver some nice weapons to them?) and off you go.
\nGreat effort, I hope you come back next time and knock it out of the park.

\nI thoroughly enjoyed the visuals. The sprites were consistent and the colour palette soothing and complimentary. The movements of the sprite was also very smooth.
\nIt took a while for me to understand what was going on, but I feel that could be an easy fix. If you have extra time it would be great to implement the game play instructions into the game, saving the player having to read the game description.
\nCan’t wait to see this developed further!!
