Defeat enemies alone on the battlefield. It has 5 levels.

Nice minimalistic presentation, simple but fun. Differentiating the ‘level progression’ and ‘you lost’ screens more would have improved the experience for me.

The graphics are really smooth and it felt quite nice to move around.

However, I am not so sure whether the game matches the theme. Also, at some points the seemed like to collision detection didn’t work quite well.

\n

It was a fun game, It just felt a bit empty (more enemies, more sound, etc. would have been nice)

Nice clean presentation, i like the color-palette.\nSome added eye-candy (particle-effects, screen-shakes,…) and a bit more interaction-possibilities (i.e. dash to a direction with [space] or [right-mouse-button]) would add much to the game.

I think it would work better without having to click to do damage(like in https://dev.js13kgames.com/2023/games/knight-dreams) . And with sword hit box being actually aligned with the sprite. So far it seems that enemy is not damaged by the sword top, only by it’s middle/hilt.

G’day!

Good balance of levels difficulty. Unfortunately, I did not find in it resonance with the theme of the competition. Also very reminiscent of tutorial games where you learn, good start, but more innovation and uniqueness would have made my experience so much better!

Thanks for game!

Nice little game! I could have used some indication of where the mouse was, as sometimes it got a bit lost when I was moving around. The hit box for the sword feels kinda small as well (though that might just be me complaining because I couldn’t make it past level 4 haha).

Minimalist, stylized, and highly playable little arena game! I wish the sword swing was more of an arc around the player instead of a simple waggle / pivot at the handle. I’d also like the archers to give some warning before they shoot.

\n

Overall a simple and fun game. Nice work!

Overall, a fun and complete little game with just a right amount of challenge to play it through!

Nice idea! It’s like melee Asteroids. Looks nice, like the minimalist approach. Could have splashed out on another shape for the archers though. Triangles perhaps?

\n

I think there’s a lot of potential to this concept, but it doesn’t quite feel right yet. The hit detection is a little loose on the one hand, and it’s almost too easy to circle strafe, because the enemy’s can’t deal with it, and they overlap, so they conveniently bunch up for a quick swipe. But it IS one of those things where you can totally imagine what the tighter, juiced up version would be like, and it seems cool!
