On full-moon midnights, a black-furred card-monger — the Night Dealer — weighs the fate of cats. On a 3×3 board, play your arcana to flip adjacent tiles and steal back time. Win rounds, stack life-points up to 9.

Nice graphics and ambiance. Not super easy to understand the goal of the game. I wish there was a bit of sound too.

Unclear what anything is about. I spammed buttons until I lost 2-0. There might be an ultimate logical battle going on but hard to play when feedback is minimal. Also the board overlaps the buttons.

Hmm, I think there are the bones for a good strategy game here, but I couldn’t quite figure out the rules.

\n

I think having the narrator provide some explanation about why things are happening, and/or adding some SFX to communicate “success” or “failure” would help clear things up. As-is, my blue tiles were turning red, and I wasn’t exactly sure why..!

\n

I think you could build from what you have and make something really cool, though..!

The graphics are good and it has a distinct style. You have a lot more detailed instructions on the github repo but I still couldn’t quite understand what is meant to be happening.

\n

Looks like it would be an interesting strategy game.

The game seems very interesting but at first very hard to understand what each piece does or how the game works. Then I realized there was some instructions hiding in the speech bubble.\nSo this is actually like tic tac toe? I have to say, the game could use a lot more onboarding. I thought the game was broken when all the pieces disappeared but that was actually because the round was over. This was really not clear.

\n

The game is not well designed for mobile. I also also disappointed that the thumbnail didn’t reflect the actual gameplay.

🌍 I didn’t understand the effect of the elements on the game. It really needs more explanations about what they do and how to place tiles effectively. I lost 0–2 without understanding why.

I have to admit that I don’t understand what is going on… The concept sounds great and I like the style of the game, but I think I needed a bit more of a tutorial. Traps? Hex? What do these things mean?

I like the look of your game

\n

Your graphics were good, and the inputs worked as expected

\n

Some aspects were a little confusing

\n

The help appeared underneath the grid so I wasn’t able to read it

\n

I played on mobile but the whole game didn’t fit the screen so I had to scroll up and down a bit

\n

Maybe a tutorial would help

Thanks for your submission! First, I can’t know how much effort you’ve put on the game, so don’t mind me if I get cliché or repeat ideas you simply didn’t get the time (or kb) to finish. Second, great you have finished this experience!

\n

I don’t read the descriptions or feedbacks before finishing the games, but with your game I had to look for some more information in here, which I unfortunately didn’t find :c

\n

I couldn’t understand the game. I tried many round and lost over and over. I think I grasped each tile and what their power is, but after lots of experimentations I’m still not sure what’s the solving step doing – sometimes shields lose, sometimes I took over the board, and other times my eyes just swapped sides after the enemy just placed an eye.

\n

A pity! Because it’s visible a lot of effort was put into the game and that you reached the 13kb limit, which is probably one of the reasons we don’t see much more instructions.

\n

There is a lot of ideas in here and I think you’re not far from having a working game. Reach out if you ever come to work on it more!

I don’t understand how to play the game. What is a Wheel? What does it mean to Validate? Play your arcana to flip adjacent tiles?

\n

In a game with unfamiliar rules you as a game designer have to make sure the game teaches the players the rules through tutorials or text or images.
