Welcome to Veliky Novgorod in 1260.

\n

You play as a trader who tries to earn enough money to pay back to Mongol tax-collectors by selling salt and grain. Your goal is to earn 200 silver for the upcoming round to satisfy mongols.

\n

Good luck.

Pretty cool pixel art! I love the color pallet and the characters. The bumping of the characters when they hit an object is pretty cool.\nThings that could be better are: would be nice to have music, the collision detection is not great (I was walking on water), and it is a bit difficult to know what to do, and where to place the jars

The graphics are really nice and the cpu moves around well, although you can block them with the pots :D

\n

Simple game all functions well.

Gorgeous pixel art!

\n

Took me a long second to understand what to do, but eventually worked out that the wizard always picks up salt, and the princess always wants grain, so it’s just a matter of organizing so that you can drop those on the tables ASAP. The game is a little simple, but it’s executed well, and quite satisfying to beat!

The game looks great, the pixel art is cute.

\n

Unfortunately, the gameplay is not at all challenging. Always the same girl asks for grain in the top counter, and the wizard asks for salt in the bottom counter. Always at the same time. Once you understand this, it’s a matter of doing the same thing a dozen times until you reach 200 silver. There also this issue where the canvas doesn’t fit the window for some reason.

\n

The game has immense potential, but right now it’s not exactly fun.

I found that you could keep dropping salt and grain on top of each other, so I’d just drop salt and grain termitently on each side of the table and the wizard and the princess could always pick something up.

\n

Controls are super easy to use, and the gameplay is quite self-explanatory.

\n

I thought the game would’ve been a bit more immersive with a few sounds (like pickup/drop item).

\n

Good effort!

Love the Kenney graphics. The game idea is good and the level designed worked well.

\n

Wasn’t sure what the difference was between the orange and brown sacks or barrels? Or what I was meant to be doing with them.

\n

Or what the stand on the path was for, or even why the lady and the wizard stopped for a bit and sometimes left stuff and sometimes took stuff.

\n

Would love to play again, but perhaps need more instructions.

\n

I wasn’t able to go diagonally, and some of the buildings could be walked through.

The graphics are nice and cohesive.

\n

I don’t know what I’m supposed to to, but I think I need to move the bag of coins (I think they are bag of coins) outside of the castle.

\n

Adding some sound effects and music to the game, and help define a clear goal, I think you have something that can be addictive.

Very nice game with a great implementation of the theme! The pixel art is also very nice! Gives the game a nice, old-timey aesthetic.

\n

The gameplay is good as well, it keeps a steady pace and rounds are not too long. The time to help out a customer is very short however, which makes it quite difficult to satisfy the customers order. It would be nice if the customers already show what they want to buy when coming down the bridge, that way you have some extra time to get the product from your store for them.

\n

All in all though, very nice experience! Well done!

Well, looks more like prototype, there are no so many actions and options, only two clients in the same time.\nBut playable.

Reminds me of that mission in Mafia 2 where you carry the boxes around.

Hi there,

\n

Great job on this submission! The graphics were really well done and I could tell it was thought out. Here’s my feedback and suggestions:

\n
    \n
  1. There was a serious UI issue where the top part of screen is cut-off. My guess is it’s because the “Play” window on js13games is overlapping with the top of the screen, but this is a good reason to add padding on the UI of your window. You might also want to introduce Full screen mode. I wasn’t able to see what’s at the top
  2. \n
  3. I really enjoyed the ‘bounce’ that you added to the interactions - that gave it a unique feel and bonus points!
  4. \n
  5. I’d suggest adding more description/story to the gameplay - I think you could really take this somewhere with extra story and extra transitions or character dynamics.
  6. \n
  7. Music/Sound - definitely needed here to make it truly engaging!
  8. \n
  9. Bonus points for utilizing typescript and eslint!
  10. \n
  11. Bonus points for naming convention and file organization
  12. \n
  13. Don’t forget to add a license file!
  14. \n
\n

Overall, good submission - keep up the good work and hit me up on twitter @jedihacks for any discussion!

Hello! Thanks for your submission to js13k!\nI’m sure you’ve worked hard on your game, but I’m not aware of how much time you spent on it, so excuse me if things I mention were in your mind, but got left out in the rush of the month or just because you hit the 13kb limit :)
