Fed up with your lack of contributions around the house, your owner has sent you off to work. Just your luck!
\nPick up fishes as they pass on the conveyor belt, calculate how much they are worth, then input, print, and stick labels onto them. As soon as they are back on the belt, your guesses will be verified: correct prices will net you points, wrong ones won’t. The job is simple, but it’s sure to keep your paws busy.
\n
\nClick. Click. Click. Just the left mouse button.
\nSome less obvious interactions that I should mention are:
\nEach of the three main levels offers a distinct spawn frequency, generation strategy, and fish pool. Every run will feature a random set of modifiers, so memorization is not a long-term strategy. Instead, quick wits and fast execution are the key to achieve 100% completion.
\nThe last level in the list can be customized to fit your needs, be it for a practice run, to avoid a fish you don’t like (yuck!), or to try a even higher difficulty.
\nAlthough they look pixelated, graphics are vector art. The game is rendered on a small offscreen canvas and then upscaled without interpolation.
\nThe glyphs for the numbers are SVG paths traced starting from the Fredoka font. I figured this was an efficient way to do custom text.
\nThis year I discovered context.createPattern and have used it in several key areas, such as: to paint the fish scales, the menus backgrounds, and even the wood texture.
The collision boxes are not axis oriented. They instead match the rotation of the object. Yes, it was as painful as it sounds.

I am so surprised about all the work you’ve put into this! I have no suggestions, but I want this game fully supported on mobile too! (which shouldn’t be hard to do).
\nThank you for making this game. I will definately re-play it many times over!

I got really happy whenever I got a max value fish. The sound design is really good too, it gave it a relaxing vibe.

Except the game-play. If you just add something to skip with doing math, or even give hints to what the labels could be, so instead of manually entering digits select from a set of numbers that would enable ballpark guess. I couldn’t play the game but It was still super fun experience. Another problem is graphics are somehow looks a little blurry.

\nYour GitHub README is lovely and I like the graphics and gifs you included.
\nFantastic gameplay and concept. I LOVE the animations: the way the cat flips the paw, the pencil and picking up the fish. Switching the pages and the colour wasn’t super intuitive (good that you wrote it in the description, but would be cool on screen), but I got there.
\nI also really like the fact that you have the chance to redeem yourself if you put the wrong number on the fish! I know you’re constrained with your kBs, but would be SUPER cool to have some music in this to give it that extra oomph.
\nThe increasing difficulty is awesome, and I love the fact that it’s always random so you can’t just learn it.

\nA simple concept but executed really well
\nNice waves audio in the background
\nThe game is fun and relaxing, yet can get hectic when lots come along at once
\nMy first run I totally missed that I was meant to be pricing the fish up, so when I got nothing for collecting the more “valuable” fish on my bench I had to go back and read the info more closely
\nBut really good, and likely more fun on a touchscreen

My only gripe is that its hard to associate with theme. I get the black cat is the pricer of the fish, but it is very irrelevant to both the theme and the feel of the game.
\nControls are great, art style is nice and the audio that is there adds a nice level to the game without getting annoying. I feel this would be a great mobile game.

The level of difficulties are also well balanced. Overall, you did a great job with this game. And I am all for having more cats contribute to society.
