You must stop the caravan from reaching Acre. You must kill all knights and the Caravan, but you only have 20 arrows, and a bunch of knights.

I runned out of space too soon so I had to cut content to fit the limit and the gameplay suffered (I even had to chop one arm of the knights!). I hope you enjoy it.

The graphics are of course brilliant, all the animations are especially impressive. As you say yourself in the description, the gameplay suffers a bit.

\n

While the slowdown while aiming is cool, it actually make the game harder, at least if you’re moving while shooting and/or shooting at a moving target. Since the arrow takes time to travel, you have to be able to gauge your motion and the enemies so you can lead them or whatever. With time slowed down, this is basically impossible.

\n

I think just much faster moving arrow, and/or slower moving enemies and no slowdown on aim would solve it. Or, just adjust the arrows momentum based on the fact that time is slowed down? Not sure.

\n

But really just a couple tweaks and you’d still have a really nice game. Even as it stands it’s very impressive graphically and could be a foundation for something really great!

Thanks for your comments.\nI tryed faster arrows but then you couldnt dodge them, but yes, there is a problem with the arrows, mostly that they get the speed of the horse when shoot, which leads to strange movement hard to predict. I tryed without it but then you could shoot an arrow and it just stayed behind.\nAnyway, lots of space for improvement but thanks for your time.

Graphics look amazing and worked really well. The animations were great too. The 3D was impressive.

Couldn’t find the caravan? Rode out in the wastelands for what seemed like ages.

I wasn’t able to get the arrows to shoot very well, and when holding down the keyboard to move, the mouse didn’t work.

The game mechanics are very entertaining! It is hard to get good at aiming, but it is still fun to try.

At first I didn’t see the enemy knights at the horizon, so I thought my friends were my enemies, and I had to prevent them from reaching the place where they were going to (in the next attempt I realized they were just following me). After killing all my friends I was at some beach without anything else around. In the second attempt I saw the enemies, and later on the castle.

I wish there was more content, but I had fun!

Hard to tell which way to go and couldnt fire 2nd arrow, presumably the first one has to finish but took an age at times.\nI killed all the enemies and conquered acre but the caravan kept shooting and killed me and got game over?\nLooks great. love to see an unrestricted more completed version.

Absolutely fantastic graphics, this one grabbed me from the get go. Heck, the graphics are so nice, I thought the thumbnail was an 80s style marketing exaggeration, imagine my surprise!

Unfortunately the game itself was unplayable for me. I couldn’t for the life of me work out how to hit anything, my arrows seemed to fly off in random directions, and while the HUD seemed to indicate I had a quiver of arrow, every mouse click appeared to empty it out, so I got to fire once every few seconds. Sadly gave up after a few minutes.

Such a great first step though, I hope you build on top of these techniques next year!

Well, this 3d style is impressive, castle and knights as well\nGameplay is a little weird, but in general it’s really about the caravan, guard and raiders.\nBow physics is strange, so I got my hits only then I fired on straigh line.\nAlso didn’t find how to stop caravan after all enemies death.\nBut great job, really impressive.\nIt’s sad about arm)

Very impressive 3D with smart animations and camera movments! It seems impossible to have such a result within the 13k constraint.\nAt the beginning I was not able to find the caravan because I was going to the opposite side. Maybe you could add a kind of arrow to help the player locate the caravan.\nFinally I could find enemies and killed some of them. I like the way you can change the knight with a spectacular camera movment! The controls were difficult to master according to me, but this is really a nice game.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to move properly: I have “search as you type” enabled in my browser, and you don’t call .preventDefault() on the key events. So when I try to move, the search opens for me.

First, sorry that you have to cut one arm of the knights, but it also makes the game unique! The gameplay and theme are impressive, especially considering the 3D graphics, camera angles, and animations, all within a compact 13 kb size! The controls for shooting are a bit challenging, particularly with the slowing down effect. It makes it harder to move and shoot precisely, and there’s a slight delay in seeing the results of a shot, which can feel a little bit disruptive to the gaming experience. Overall, really cool game!

Thanks for your comments.\nYeah, mouse sensitivity is a problem I tryed tweaking the value many times but something is odd, not sure why.\nI though about reducing the arrow time but then you will get out of arrows too soon, and without a way to replenish them it was a problem.\nI couldnt add auto-aim as it will require some extra maths that take too much space.\nReally sad that I didnt have space for audio/music, I had many ideas thought.
