You’re the legendary cat burglar they call The Shadow. Nine heists in nine months. Nobody knows how you do it. They think you must always have an accomplice. An inside man.
\nThey’re wrong… but they’re close. You have an inside cat.
\nINSTRUCTIONS:\nUse your laser pointer (right controller) to lure your pet cat, Cinnamon, to adjacent tiles. Get him to turn off the alarms and open the exit so you can come in and swipe the jewel. Be careful - Cinnamon hates bright light.
\nUse your right thumb toggle to strafe right or left.
\nNOTES\nWell, level 3 was going to be where the mirror actually matters, but it broke, and I was over 13kb, so I just yanked it.
\nOther ideas:
\nThis deserves a 5/5 for theme - ‘cat’ burglar + cats love laser pointers. I couldn’t exit level 1 for some reason, but level 2 worked fine. The game has potential!

Is there a special key to press, or do I need a VR headset with a controller to play the game?

\nThe idea is nice, but the game is a little buggy. For example, I was not able to make the cat open the exit. I totally see the potential with the laser in the mirror even if unfortunately it was not possible to add it in the size limit.
\nI guess it should take a lot of place in the game, but the animations on the cat are impressive, and making it look at the laser is fun.
\nGood work, it is a nice base for a bigger game.

A cat burglar is a genius idea. It was a little slow, but did successfully run on a quest one. I could not figure out how to finish the first level however, what am I supposed to guide the cat to so that I can exit?

\nReally deserved a couple of more levels :-(

I did miss a bit more speed in the movement and some extra dynamism in the environment, but other than that, it’s a great piece of work. Congratulations! 👏

It took me a minute to realize the cat needed to touch the disable alarm button, not my laser. It has a Frogger-esque tile-based movement feel that creates tension as I timed movements between sweeping laser beams. I was impressed by your cat animations – I could see the detail in the walking and button-pressing animations. Your museum aesthetic with laser security systems creates a perfect atmosphere. Even without purpose the mirror idea was cool to see. Great job!

It fits this year’s theme perfectly and the gameplay runs smoothly with only minor issues noticed. Both audio and graphics are well done, and the controls work as intended. Overall, it’s an enjoyable and well-executed game!
