This is strangely addictive! Very simple but fun. My high score was 61.

The simple graphics/color palette/animation works well! Very charming. I like the Happy Birthday tunes, too, haha.

\n

As far as gameplay goes, it actually took me a second to figure out how to double-jump. I kept diving instead, haha. Maybe it’s just me.

\n

Also, I wonder if you could “buff” diving somehow–maybe fall straight down..? Because diving always ended with me hitting the ground, haha.

I think there are a lot of great thinks in this game: scrolling, particles, music, animations,… The concept is simple but fun. I tried to make combos of colours but it was (for me) difficult. Well done!

Nice and simple, and it strikes a pleasant tone.

I felt like it wasn’t quite interactive enough, like my performance is driven much more by the RNG than by my dive and jump choices. That might be addressable on the RNG side, maybe by having balloons spawn in a quantized space, like they can only appear at 32 pixel intervals or something. Or maybe by adding more interactions. I kind of wanted to tap space at the moment of striking a balloon, to bounce higher, something like that.

All in all, a nice entry! I had fun playing.\nScore = 76

This game reminds me of Google Chrome’s error page dino game.

I love the retro style: audio and graphics are simple but lovely.

\n

I also enjoyed the score streak alert effect and the camera effect when diving. Those are nice touches.

I will say that difficulty is also a 5 out of 5 XD

🎈 Nice little game, but there’s not much action to do. If you go off-screen, sometimes you don’t have time to react and adjust the cat’s direction to land properly. At one point the game popped 20 balloons in a row without me doing anything.

I don’t know how you came up with this idea, but it is quite original!\nI managed to get a score of 149, but I don’t know if it is good. The game was quite addictive and I felt it was fair (I usually lost became of my own mistake). You managed to put some sound and the graphics are totally fine for this type of game. Overall, I had a good time playing it. Thanks!
