You are Hades - greek god of the dead and the king of the underworld. Your duty is to build underworld defence to protect yourself from enemies. Monsters of the underworld and pesky bandits will try to tackle you. Don’t be fooled by first waves. Pressure will only increase over time!

\n

Create barricades to block their way, build magic altars which will burn them down, and spawn skeletons who will protect you. Those building can be upgraded to improve their stats.

\n

You are also not worthless and able to throw fireballs.

\n\n

= NEAR Challenge:\nYou can connect with your testnet NEAR wallet in order to buy 💸✨premium tier✨💸 and receive more money at the beginning of each new game. This would also unlock high-end rainbow wall and floor tiles.

\n

You can also try to play on other players maps and clone them simply by using their Near wallet id since all data is visible in blockchain. You can try with vilpy-beta.testnet\nChanges in this case won’t be saved into other players state and will be available only for you.

\n

= Arcadia:\nArcadians avatars can be used to improve aesthetics of your underworld. Simply pick it in build menu, enter ID and enjoy a new painting. Those would be cropped to include only the head tho.

\n

= OP Games:\nDecentralizing The Hadesverse!\nAll saved maps are shared in NEAR blockchain, you can fork other bases and use them as inspiration to make your Hades underworld unstoppable! And of course code is published as open-source.

This is a really well presented game, and it’s fun to play. I’m 20 minutes in, and I can probably play this for hours. I’m looking forward to the end-game. The start is a bit slow-paced, but I hope it will pick up the pace later in the game. Being able to paint my walls with extra properties is clever, and something I haven’t seen before in a tower defence game. The menus are pretty and everything just look aesthetically pleasing. I love the sound effects except for the button click. It could be more of a click rather than a blip (if that makes sense). I’d love to have background music too, but I know that will add at least 1KB extra space, so maybe you had to make some sacrifices.

\n

It’s difficult to understand how much the mood affects gameplay. I see from the description that you get stronger if the mood is high, but I didn’t’ t understand it from gameplay. I’m also not sure if the souls arriving to Hades has some effect or not. I imagine they provide me with revenue, but I’m not sure. I’m only 20 minutes in, so maybe I’ll know more when I play longer. From the description, it looks like I loose stats, but I initially thought more souls were good.

\n

Since I’m using both mouse and keyboard, I’d love to have support for “wasd” as well as arrow keys.

\n

EDIT: NEAR features are working properly (after trying it twice.) I also found that I could hang a picture on my wall from an Arcadian. That was really cool.

\n

I think I’ve played this game for 2 hours now, two times. I never met enemies on the second lane, and that got me thinking about setting up my strongest forces on the second lane. If possible, I’d change the gameplay to have the souls in Hades to be your lives, and 1 enemy can kill a soul (similar to Pixel Junk Monsters.)

\n

I usually give long and hopefully constructive feedback on the games I really enjoy, and this is one of them. Good work.

A very polished nice game, I love the tiny graphics as well.

\n

I really like the way you implemented the NEAR features, they are working perfectly, i.e. I could save my progress and load it later.

\n

I haven’t played enough to really get a feel of the effect from mood and value multipliers but the upgrades were essential to survive. But to be honest, I could play for many hours.

\n

I have only one note: it would be nice if one column could have more than one “building” i.e. on the bottom-middle-top part - or maybe simply I should have bought more extensions. And maybe the mobile support.

\n

Anyways, solid game, solid features, I could sink a lot of time in it.

Great art, sound and menu system, quite slow to get into. Seems very low on money to start off.

\n

Seems that you have implemented quite a lot of features for a small game.

Cute game, but a bit long to start, money take time before we can really play and enjoy all the possibilities. but improvements and features are nice.\nIt would have been cool to paint “zones” instead of case per case

I enjoyed playing the game, the graphics were good and I like the pixel art style.

\n

I wasn’t sure which of the levels shown I should do the building on, or do I just pick one and make it my own to defend?

\n

I found I very quickly ran out of money, and it took quite a long time to build up reserves enough to do or build the next thing.

\n

Perhaps an initial smaller trainer level would be good.

Still playing this in the background as it’s super entertaining. The graphics are adorable, and sound effects are nice, although some background music would be nice too. I love that decorating your dungeon is strongly encourage by increasing strength and income\nThe game play is great but it could be even better.\nI know the game gets busier the longer you play, but I still feel like I’m waiting around for too long. A fast forward button would be nice. Alternative a “hard mode” where the waves come quicker. I have so much free time.\nI don’t understand the percentage stats. I feel like they shouldn’t be a percentage (what does 100% mean if i can can way over 100?).\nThe barricades seem like a terrible investment. Even when upgraded to level 5, they don’t last long and I can’t repair them. Better to invest in only offense + cauldrons. But later in the game they are the only thing slowing them down, but only if you upgrade them to the max.\nI can’t have a chandelier and a tower built on the same spot. That doesn’t make sense to me. But instead of preventing me from building, it erased the previous building without warning.\nThe graphics could use my whole screen instead of being centered in a small window.\nPainting the same color on the floors/walls consumes my money but doesn’t do anything.\n“Painting of a you” sounds funny\nI was expecting different mobs to appear with different powers but i guess you wouldn’t be able to fit that in the game.\nSeems like i have so much HP that charging directly at the enemies is not a big deal at all. As i’m writing this, my simple setup is already so powerful that I don’t need to worry.\nWhat do the cauldron upgrades do?

\n

Overall amazing game. The points above are mostly good-to-haves and would make the game even more amazing.

\n

edit: eventually the waves become huge and hard to manage, but this took a long time playing. Will defnitely play again.

Interesting strategy game, it starts a bit slow but has a lot of depth in the game.

\n

Great use of Web3 components as well. Playing on other player’s map using blockchain is a creative utilization of the blockchain.

For 13k, this is quite special. You’ve managed to squeeze all these functions in your build, and top of that, there is a save function. Well done

fun base-building and tower defense gameplay! Great use of NEAR for procedural content and for saving data. A next step could be building more interactions among other players across the Hadesverse, maybe allow players to build their own armies and raid bosses/other players
