So, essentially the Chrome dinosaur game, but with Death instead.\nIt’s cute and entertaining. The jump is a bit too slow to be enjoyable and I’m not sure the game is possible to continue playing no matter how skilled you are. Some fires seemed totally impossible to pass. Also, any key can be used to jump, not just directional keys.

Giving dynamic control over the jump duration (instead of single height jump) would really increase the fun-ness here.

It’s like chrome dinosaur game, but it lacks of gamefeel. Some advices to improve your game:

Neat idea, well done.

The minimalistic aesthetics are nice! Gameplay wise, the jump is difficult to control, and the way it quickly bounces on the ceiling makes it hard to play. And the alert…. oh my god, the alert. Please avoid using alert.

I feel the jump mechanic could be better, you don’t need the game to be super overly complex but if you do decide to make it simple especially with a game like this, make sure it is fun to jump.

Well…what can I say?

\n

The game is really minimal and it’s a plus, the graphics can be improved and the gameplay too. It seems it’s too hard right from the beginning. You did a good job making a game, it’s impressive how one person managed to create a Dinosaur-clone, it’s not really one of the first project suggested to recreate. Learn to create a better and responsive jumps, learn color contrasts or take a good palette from the list of Lospec.com, learn how to make sounds and a bit of game design. After this, you will improve a lot. Can’t wait to see you next year!

The game looks good, but is a little basic with dino jump vibes.

\n

The combination of different speed plants makes it tricky to time, and the player jump feels a bit delayed.

\n

Some sound would be good, maybe more health that one hit.

Reminds me of the Google dinosaur jump game. I think it would be better if all the fires stood still, that is, moving at the same speed. It would be easier to time my jumps.

Not super complicated, and I must admit I didn’t get too far.

\n

I feel that controls were either too delayed, or the ripper was jumping too high (like I want it to be more predictable depending on how long I hold the jump button). As this is a key mechanic here, it’s worth it to spend some time to make it feel right.

\n

Fires moving at different speeds made it even harder for me.

\n

I’d encourage you to innovate more, experiment, and risk sth crazier here.

Cute little jumping game! Reminds me of Moon Patrol. The usage of alert() is a little annoying; something in-game would have been nicer IMO. Overall good job!

Cute graphics, fun little game. Would be nice to have a little more documentation though than just one line.

\n

Would also be great if the game didn’t just start as soon as you open the browser. This doesn’t give the player time to get ready or get in the zone. Instead they just die. An opening tutorial screen with a fun story would be ideal as well as how the controls work. Although it is a very intuitive game.

\n

I love the way the flames speed up randomly which means you can’t just sit there and predict the movement or time it super well.

\n

Simplistic, fun, and potentially addictive game!

\n

Adding some sound effects and music would go a long way to making the game more fun. Also having the pop-ups in game and not just a browser pop up would be very cool, more immersive, and more engaging.
