Unfortunately, I could not play the game: I have “search as you type” enabled in my browser, so when I try to move the browser search suddenly shows up. You should call .preventDefault() on all keyboard events to prevent this.

Nice graphics and gameplay, other than the lack of audio, I think the only thing holding you back here is the controls. Hooking mouse click to fire as well would be a nice start, but I think really adding controller support would make this game a lot better! One analog stick to move, one to aim. The problem with using the mouse is that your character moves around within the frame (they aren’t always dead center), this means when you move your player, the direction you aim changes. This feels bad. If you used analog sticks this wouldn’t happen, or alternatively you could keep the player direct center of the screen at all time.

Still, I think this is a great foundation for a game, tweak controls and add sound and music and you’ve got something really good here. Nice work!

Great graphics and I really like how the arm holding the gun and aiming looked. I liked how the theme of staying by the fireplace was 13 seconds.

The splash screens says I should shoot with a mouse click, but it seems I should rely on a space instead. I would love if I could use mouse click :)

I like the graphics in general, and the game play isn’t bad, but I found it a little difficult.

I understand trying to stick to the theme, but i think 13 seconds of game play before i have to find a new campfire, just felt too much. This game is really hard. The character is also kinda slow, so I always reach the next campfire just in time. I felt like there was little time to actually explore the game before the next campfire died as well.

I think the game could use a softer learning and difficulty curve.

The art was nice, but I missed the sound effects.

Nice pixel art and gameplay, all works great. Some sounds would have added to the feel of the game and maybe some particle affects / screen shake etc.

Great game, I loved the pixel art! To me it would have been more natural to shoot with the mouse instead of the space bar, but it was a good experience. Music and sound effets woud certainly benefit the game. Good job :)

It was over pretty quickly, how do I get more time?

For me the control method was a little disjointed - move with WASD but aim with mouse, but shoot with SPACE. Perhaps move with keyboard and aim+shoot with mouse could work better?

I really like the idea of this one. Twin stick shooters are always fun, and I think this could have been one of my favorites, but here are a few notes for next year that I think are holding it back:

Very cool and interesting game! The graphics are impressive and the gameplay is very smooth. It would be nice to show players what they need to do when the first campfire goes out and show the timer somewhere more central to remind players.
