Use the mouse to control the character’s movement.\nAvoid monsters marked with a red “13.”\nThe character’s face will show if monsters are nearby.\nFind the treasure and flee.

Wasn’t clear at the start if it was mouse or keyboard controls (adding support for both would be great).
\nShould have the first level as smaller, and easier to get the hang on the game. I played five times and still couldn’t find the treasure that I was supposed to find. Some looked like they should be treasure, but nothing happened. Good music and sound effects.
\nNice work on your GitHub README. Love all the emojis.

The treasure is only located at the end position of the level 3. (End pos is always at the bottom-right corner) And the background of the game shows some objects are Epiphysis by the 13 god, some are not. That’s why some monsters seem not moving. This may be a misleading setting.\nI have noticed about the difficulty, I played several times and finally passed level 2. (Level one is about 2020 in size, level 2 3030 in size) It seems need to have some skills of control and tactic of solving maze to better pass the level. I may reduce the difficulty of the beginning and may shrink the size of fog in level 2 and 3.

\nMaybe a life-bar or power ups of some sort, could all to the maze exploration.
\nWhat was the ultimate goal of the game? I went around the maze as my character followed my mouse cursor, but didn’t know what or where I should have been aiming for other than avoiding the dangers.

Level 1 seems really huge, I don’t know how to beat it. Are there other levels bigger than that?\nLevel generation is nice (is it fixed or precedural?)\nReminds me a part of my 2018 entry “Alone in darkness” with a small maze and creatures attracted by player light once revealed :)

I am quite regretful to set up maze so big like this. The maze and the monsters are generated randomly. The end of each level is always at the bottom right corner. I will post easier and newer version after the competition.

I liked that character and music changed based on the players state, though I couldn’t figure out what being cold or hot meant or how I become such.
\nI couldn’t find my way out of the maze. Level 1 seems huge. Maybe some sort of clue or minimap would have helped navigate it. Also the number 13 that shows up on the enemies was very hard to see so made it hard to distinguish who was the enemy between a group of emojis.

\nThe game has some potential. It was causing me some legit distress and fear because of the random non-demonic emoji scattered around (which is good!). The different music changes were well executed.
\nI would make the movement speed much faster, as it’s frustratingly slow as it stands.

\nBackground music is a good indicator of the looming dangers, switching to a gloomy melody when they are too close. Unfortunately, I could not find a way through when they are between my character and the exit. And still didn’t figure out what the cold and hot symbol mean.

\nI would reduce the camera zoom to increase situational awareness - right now it is nearly impossible to plan your route. Also, some additional feedback like camera shakes or particles could spice it up a little.

\nI my Linux box, some emojis didn’t work. By reading the README, it seem they are the tired, relief and “player win the game” emojis.
\nSeems also that with a little more work, you could also support mobile ;)
\nCongrats on the submission!

In playing it, the smiley emoji will seek to the mouse pointer and that’s your cue to navigate around the seemingly massive maze in order to find the exit. As you traverse you’ll encounter other emoji, some nicely animated (I especially liked the moon transition), some static and some downright scary. The way the music (and your face) changes when those are close is simply great. In short I feel like the zoom level made this more of a challenge than the challenge of the game itself. It’s so close you can’t really plan to solve the maze, you just have to wall-follow. As such, I sadly never made it to level 3 and the treasure.
