This is a game for two. Call someone!

\n

You should choose a coin type (gold or silver) and place one of that in some place.

\n

Your friend will do the same thing the other coin type.

\n

You can overlap any placed coin with another with superior role.

\n

Have fun! If you are not a peasant.

I had to play against myself. The game is really well polished. At first it seemed quite interesting, but then I almost immediately saw an almost obvious strategy for the second player to at least enforce a draw: always cover the coin of the other player with the next higher one, except for the pope, then you play your peasant anywhere. This way the first player will never have more than two coins open, so he cannot win. With that strategy, unfortunately, the game becomes quite boring.

Great game, the graphics are really good. I found someone to play against. We didn’t use Michael’s draw forcing technique, but it did turn out to be a draw. There is a lot of strategy in it if you play properly, I really thought I was ahead as I was saving my larger coins, but it turned around at the end ☹️. I’m not sure if this was deliberate choice or not, but nothing happened when we placed last coin, was hoping for a winner to be declared. Was fun, thanks.

The graphics and effects on the coins are very polished.\nIt’s an interesting variant on tic-tac-toe, but some AI would have been nice. I’m just trying those entries on my own.

A fun twist on tic-tac-toe! I didn’t have anyone to play with, but will give it a try another time. The graphics are really smooth. It was a bit hard to read the initial text because it went away so fast. There should be a way to restart the game once it ends. I like the theme approach. If this game had some sound effects and a bit more polished animations it would be amazing.

G’day!

\n

Tic Tac Toe - level 2 :)

\n

From the good:

\n

game for two

\n

looks good

\n

Feedback:

\n

You can’t lose here, I constantly overlapped the opponent’s coins and when there were no coins left, nothing happened, as well as when winning - I expect to be able to repeat the game. Also, when placing coins quickly, the voice will still speak all the moves even if they are long behind…

\n

I think it would be better if the voice announces the current move and has not yet had time to announce that a new move has already taken place, then the current voiceover ends and starts the next one move.

\n

The start screen that describes the sequence of shapes - disappears too quickly, I can’t read it… although it looks cool!

\n

It would also be good to consider the possibility of not only dragging coins onto the playing field, but also the possibility of selecting a coin with the first click, and instead of dragging, simply press the mouse cursor on the cell where you want to put it.

\n

Unfortunately, I did not find resonance with the topic of the contest…

\n

Good game! Thanks!

The graphics are very well done and I like the revisited tic-tac-toe concept. I was not able to play with someone but I imagine several strategies can be developped. I would have appreciated being able to play against an IA.

Nice graphics! We played a little fast and had to let the voice catch up at times.

Looks like a good mobile game!

Overall, this game is twist on Tic Tac Toe. Not my thing, but it had a “woaw” effect thanks to the voices. Good job!

Interesting idea. But why would you ever place a coin other than the one you have on hand with the highest value/role? The graphics are of high quality, and there’s even speech synthesis. Cool.

Nice, considering two player constraints, but needs an end game screen

Hi Aurélio,

\n

Great work on this submission - it was a really unique take on tic tac toe! Here’s my feedback and suggestions below:

\n
    \n
  1. The beginning instructions went by way too fast - and because of the style of the background they were on I could hardly read them. I’d suggest slowing this down and focusing on readability there
  2. \n
  3. The coins - Bravo on the design! Loved the shine and polish on these, really good work here - this looked professionally done
  4. \n
  5. The concept - again, bravo! Really great concept
  6. \n
  7. Controls - I had some minor issue with drag and drop of the coins. I think the game could have less ‘bounce’ in it and still be really fun and engaging
  8. \n
  9. Code - I’d like to see more code structure here and a breakout of files with appropriate naming.
  10. \n
  11. CSS - Would be great to see stylelint included in the repository to enforce standards
  12. \n
  13. README - well done but should have build/usage instructions
  14. \n
  15. License - need to add!
  16. \n
\n

Overall, great submission - should be proud! I look forward to seeing what you do with it next. Hit me up on twitter @jedihacks for any discussion!
