I removed the head of species 13k! This was fun! I haven’t played a game of this style or genre before. The time pressure makes “easy” tasks quite a bit more difficult. Especially the escalating “Wires” tasks. At first I tried playing with both mouse and keyboard, but keyboard alone is much much faster. Nice variety of puzzles, catchy music. This was a clever game, well done!

Atmospheric music and some nice effects with the graphics!

\n

It gets pretty stressful to accomplish the various tasks in time!

\n

This might be random feedback, but I think having some more feedback after “accomplishing” a task would be good (some sound effect or visual cue). I kept forgetting to hit “A,” and maybe that would have helped me remember

The game is very confusing and starts really hard. I think you should ramp up the player with simpler tasks with a lot more time. The gameplay was confusing even after reading the description, but after a while i guess i got the hang of it. But it was very stressful to use all the different keys.

\n

The tasks start sliding away so you can’t read their names any more. Would make more sense to represent that in another way (like a progress bar).

\n

The music is a bit annoying after a while.

\n

On the bright side, I can definitely appreciate the amount of thought and work put into this. There are several mini games and a compelling storyline. The game is pretty complex. But I think the UX needs some work.

Very interesting atmospheric game. I appreciated that the same task was always the same so I could use muscle memory for the solutions, and that the tasks slowly went away if I didn’t complete them quick enough.

\n

The game was unclear at first what I needed to do. The controls helped to understand what was expected but it took me some time to figure out how everything worked. Especially the first task of Hard Reset I didn’t understand that I had to press 2 after opening the panel with K. After I got what I needed to do the rest of the game went smoothly.

\n

There were a lot of times I didn’t have any tasks to work on because I had completed everything and would just have to wait around for new ones to show up. It would have been nice if the tasks were a constant stream even if I completed them faster than expected.

\n

It also might have been interesting if during the later shifts that clicking on the wrong buttons during a task would result in failure. For example if during the Hard Rest task clicking 1 before 2 would fail it, or trying to screw in the Loose Panel before it was on. Without that I didn’t really have any need to worry about accuracy as I tried to complete tasks (other than the Wire task).

\n

Lastly the music, although fitting of the game, got a bit annoying at the end as the repeat is so short. The CRT effect also was a bit too distracting. Making it a bit subtler would be nice.

I can see how this could be fun, the concept was good, and there seemed to be plenty of tasks.

\n

I could only select one thing from the list, but having the pulsing items as prompts to know what to do was useful.

\n

I kept getting stuck on pressing “K”, was I meant to hold “K” and press something else like the numbers?

\n

Why were the left hand tasks scrolling off the screen, was there a time limit?

\n

The graphics were a little flickery, was that intentional?

I’m sorry, I don’t get it.\nTask asked me to open (k) and press(k), Even when I use “K” button it opens the “K”, but I can’t press it again has it closes it

It took me time to understand how it works, but I think it’s part of the game:)\nAn interesting thing to me is the stressing atmosphere due to the music and the limited time. I think the game is hard and I was not able to pass level 3 even after several attempts :( Good job!

Very atmospheric, great music! I actually like the fact that the game is very cryptic and doesn’t really tell you what you have to do so you have to figure it out on your own, but it does feel confusing and punishing in a way. The concept though is great!

Hello! Thanks for your submission to js13k!\nI’m sure you’ve worked hard on your game, but I’m not aware of how much time you spent on it, so excuse me if things I mention were in your mind, but got left out in the rush of the month or just because you hit the 13kb limit :)

Great concept, there are a couple of bugs if you play with the mouse, click one of the letters then move away keeping the button clicked.

\n

At a first glance it may look a bit confusing, but after some trial and error it’s a fun game.
