In entitled, you play as royalty trying to keep peasants eating dirt. Your weapons are ‘Empty Promises’, ‘Patriarchy’, ‘Religion’, etc. Your beacons do not hesitate to use these at everyone. You do not have much control. Push the button.

Interesting graphic-style, once you change the aspect-ratio to portrait (browser window more higher than wide) it looks much better.\nSadly the interaction-possibilities are a bit too less to make it fun…

I was really intrigued with the game’s premise but I couldn’t understand the gameplay. The game was very distorted until i resized the window as suggested by another player. This allowed me to finally understand I was looking at a castle of sorts. There doesn’t seem to be a limit to how much I can build, but the weapons i build don’t seem very effective.\nThe game seems unfinished.

Intriguing graphics! It looked very cool but I also struggled to figure out what I was looking at exactly - it seemed like an abstract representation of an imagined visual, but it was rather interesting in spite of the glitches. I enjoyed I building my little distorted fractal dream castle and defended it from those filthy villagers for as long as I could.

Doesn’t look like there’s a lot to do. I can’t see any resource and it appears that I could just keep making empty promises without any consequence (though sometimes some peasants came away in a red colour).

\n

Graphically, even after adjusting my screen so that the game would be a square, the perspective still appeared warped.

Art: even with the limitations in place, I would have tried to make it a bit more lively with the theme and resemble the actual function of the building and/or character.

\n

Execution of the theme: very original combination a tower defense game with a catchy medieval narrative.

\n

Gameplay: the game play is a little shallow. Allowing the player to select the tower and drag it to their preferred place would make the game more dynamic. Alternatively you could have “build” on top of the idle mechanic, either by strengthening the forces of the building or the attackers.

\n

Solid, fun prototype!

Very funny political criticism! XD\nThe gameplay and graphics are not good, but we get it.

It’s more of a political message than a video game I guess.

Hi Almar,

\n

You startled the heck out of me! Haha, I really enjoyed the transition when I said I was “drinking” and all of a sudden it became a shooter. I wasn’t expecting that 😀 Here’s my feedback!

\n
    \n
  1. Great work on the controls - I liked the nod with mouse approach a lot
  2. \n
  3. Great work on the FPS and design, really well done!
  4. \n
  5. The collision boxing on the trees could use some work; I found myself inexplicably blocked a couple times
  6. \n
  7. The moon was a really nice touch as a guiding star! Was that intentional? I assume I was going the right way 🙂
  8. \n
  9. Good job on the README and license!
  10. \n
  11. Would love to see some information on the repository about code standards and linting to make it easier for other developers to contribute meaningfully.
  12. \n
  13. I think the music could be a little more ominous before the guns come out
  14. \n
\n

Overall it was a good submission, and I look forward to seeing what you do with it next. Hit me up on twitter @jedihacks for any discussion!
