Interesting concept - although the gameplay options are simple, I really found myself getting into trying to min/max the different attributes while still having enough passion or luck. Nice work.

Tinder in the 13th century :D

\n

I really enjoyed the base mechanics - I don’t think it’s explored fully, but the rough idea is already quite fun.

\n

You can ignore some of the events by maximising your luck which will allow you to have more points at the end.

\n

Graphics on the pictures are pretty good and the interface is quite simple and easy to understand.

I think the game introduces too much information at once at the beginning while failing to make clear the consequences (I resolved all scandals through luck but this was always displayed on a tiny text after my decision).

\n

However the idea and the portraits are amazing, good job :)

The portraits are amazing, but the Black Death belongs to the 14th century, not to the 13th.

Hey there!

\n

In my opinion, the graphics are what make this game stand out. Really well done on designing the portraits and the menus and buttons. It really gives a nice atmosphere.

\n

It’s too bad there is no audio, it’s definitely the type of game you’d like a nice medieval background music to chill to. Otherwise, you take the risk of your players getting bored.

\n

I felt that the game was missing a bit of tutorial at the beginning. The gameplay and idea is great, but I felt thrown into it without guidance, and had to rely on tests and failures to understand what works and what does not. A bit sad!

\n

Great submission overall, really well made!

The graphics are truly a highlight, really cool visual style. I semi-expected to see some very complex graphics code, but I guess good ol’ GIF89 format works wonders!

Short but sweet, interesting premise for a game. I’m kinda shocked that the little base64 portrait gifs ended up looking so good!

Interesting and unique gameplay. I wasn’t able to last long, my children just don’t seem to want to shag that much no matter how high their passion!

\n

I really like the UI and the pixelated portraits. I liked that all the information was immediately visible without having to open menus and tabs.

\n

If I would suggest something, would to to somehow apply some randomness to how the pictures look, like changing the color of their clothes or hairs. At the very least, avoid repeated consecutive portraits.

\n

It wasn’t clear to me what the outcome of the events was, whether I lost or won.

Execution of the theme: very original execution of the theme, both in terms of art, in-game topics and overall storyline and narrative, well done!

\n

Gameplay: it’s a little shallow, it could use a tutorial to make the connection between the marriages, the health of your empire and the goal of the game clear.

\n

Overall a very original cool game!

Interesting idea, definitely in theme.\nManaging marriages and balancing attributes can be challenging.

\n

Good looking graphics. I really like these pixelated portraits.
