Card games are not my cup of tea but very good visuals!

This game looks really interesting. I like the lore, the intro, and the whole vibe. The eyes animation was a very nice touch. However, I just wasn’t able to understand how to play :( When i select a pile it says I can press “the take button”. What is the take button? Even reading the effects of the cards, I was very confused about what they did.

\n

What is the point of the “play area”? It doesn’t seem like I can use those cards. Is it just to fulfill the goal? Then it’s not really a play area is it?

\n

The game has so much potential. But I find that they also need some hand holding, specially at first. There’s too much going on and cards flying around from the get go.

\n

It would be nice if the intro text should could be controlled by the user. It’s very slow, and then the last night disappears so fast I couldn’t read it. There’s a bug in the music: the music plays every time you press M, so pressing multiple times, starts the music many times in parallel.

\n

edit: I tried to play it a bit longer, and it got a little clearer what the game is about. I managed to win in a few minutes. It’s not hard, but I still found it unrewarding, as it’s more down to luck than skill, as most cards have random effects. The ending was sadly very underwhelming with just an alert. But I can appreciate the amount of work you’ve put into it.

The EYES!!! 👀 are so stylish and nicely animated. Love them. The complexity on display here is impressive - with tons of cool cards and a variety of strategies and tactics to explore. I got confused and needed a bit more tutorial handholding, but from what I understood I think you did an awesome job. One thing that I wish you could do was drag the cards with a mouse-click-drag, which instead accidentally selects text. All we need is an event.preventDefault() somewhere or a css rule of user-select:none; so that didn’t happen. Overall, a really nice entry. Nice work!!!

🃏 I love deckbuilding, but I didn’t fully understand the victory conditions or how a turn unfolds. I expected to play cards from my area, but it seems I could only choose from the pile?\nThe visuals and intro are really nice though!

It took a few plays to really get a sense of the rules, it felt like there was a lot going on with all the various types of cards at times. It looks great visually, the artwork of each card is great, the cat’s eyes animate really well. There was clearly a lot of work put into everything!

\n

The audio was really crackly but seemed to improve a little bit after it was playing for several turns of the game.

Hmhm, i wish the pace of the gameplay was faster. Like flooding with 3 cards takes ages, just add them quickly to the play area. The music made me fear for the life of my speakers :-)

\n

So, off to the good points:

Nice graphics crammed into 13kbytes kudos for that. But the game-play is confusing and the scrollbars don’t help.

It’s really a fun game. I loved the graphics and the story. I was almost winning, but the opponent had so many ‘Flood Fill x3’ cards. My card count reached over 15, and I lost. Still, I had fun playing it!
