I had a little trouble playing with a gamepad – If I turn around too fast, the hero doesn’t change direction. But otherwise everything works great.

Hey, love the art style, and I think the gameplay idea is really cool. Appreciate the controller support, as I think a game like this is best played with a controller.

The one thing that stopped this from being amazing to me though is that the player can only really attack to the left or right, where enemies can attack from above and below. This made it feel kind of unfair, and like I didn’t have enough control over my character. I think a control scheme more like zelda where you can face (and attack) up, down, left, and right would make this a great game!

Still, I played through to the end and enjoyed it, nice work!

Great little game. The fonts did not render correctly for me which made it a bit less great. Only attacking left and right was a bit odd, you must set yourself up so the enemies are on the sides. I wish it could be attacking in all directions (N,S,E,W).

The graphics are lovely. The controls are a little bit difficult with only being able to attack left and right, while monsters can hurt you from the top and bottom. It feels great to smash the skeletons, though.

Unfortunately, I could not properly play the game. I have “search as you type” enabled in my browser, so when I try to attack an enemy, the page search shows instead. You should call .preventDefault() for all keyboard events to prevent this.

The art of this game is amazing. I love how everything fits together and how fluid the animations, effects and controls are. The sound effects were also on point, although I wish there was music.

The game is sadly pretty short, which is understandable for the complexity and the size limit (although you still had 2 WHOLE BYTES)

The title screen seems to use fonts that I don’t have in my computer, so the title screen text looks huge, blurry and cropped. Same with the remaining time text - I can’t see how much time is left at all.

The choice of J for the attack was a bit awkward. I never saw a use for the dash button either, so the space would have been a better attack button.

The enemies were brutal and got hard quite quickly.

The timer was a little short at times. The graphics didn’t always fit on the screen, particularly the clock, I couldn’t see that at all except for about 2 pixels on the left of the number - which made things tricky.

PIxel graphics were cool, and the levels looked amazing.

The graphics and sound effects are nice. After several tries, I was not able to figure out how to clear the first room. However, I read the description, and understood that “attack” is “J”. I was trying “space” and clicking on the screen, but nothing seemed to work.

Nice dungeon crawler.\nIt’s fairly short, but I can tell a lot of effort was made to make the game look and feel great. A background music would really improve the immersion, though.\nThe countdown didn’t really have time to put pressure on me.
