The job of death is boring yet vital. If they did not banish the decreased from earth, they will turn into spectres and harm the world.\nYour time is limited. Send those poor souls to hell while avoiding spectres. The peace of the world is upon you.\nWhen the human is dying, a counter will appear over them. When the counter turns to 0, they will turn into spectres.\nApproach them before the counter runs out. You cannot lay hands on the livings.\nClick on the Map to move. You will stop once bump into anything except the dyings.\nIf you are hit by spectres, a shield will be broken and you will be sent back to hell if you are hit by spectres without any shield.\nYou will also be sent back to hell if your time on earth runs out. Collect more souls from the dyings to extend your time.

It was kind of difficult to navigate though because path finding around trees didn’t always work and I got pretty stuck. I think the timer depletes way too quickly too, made it really difficult to get in the rhythm of the game because I don’t think I really made it past like 15 seconds of gameplay.

\nIt’s a shame your character gets stuck navigating the trees, but the enemies go right through them, some pathfinding goes a long way.
\nI ended up making lots of clicks close to my character to get them to navigate around obstacles.
\nI wasn’t sure what the ultimate goal of the game was or if I was progressing towards that goal.

A simple mechanic, but you captured that feeling of “just one more turn, I can beat my previous high score”. My best was 14. The biggest challenge was getting stuck on edges of the obstacles. I found the best strategy was just to avoid any narrow passages, because the risk of getting stuck and wasting time was too high. Fun game, nice job!

\nThe “move by click” is a bit frustrating, as the pathfinding is only rudimentary and death tends to keep sticking on the corner of a rather big collisionbox around a tree.
\nSome effects (particles etc.) would be nice.
\nAnd maybe the trees should not be arranged in a fixed grid, but on pixel-coordinates, with a smaller hitbox.
\nAnother good effect would be depth-sorting the sprites from top (farthest away) to bottom (nearest to the viewer) and using an even smaller hitbox arount the base of the treetrunks. So the player could walk behind the trees creating a kind of perspective-view.

Definitely hard to decide if you should try to get to the humans before they become spectres or run to the next room instead. Got stuck on a lot of trees!

I think a different control scheme might be better here

It was quite difficult to move around fluidly and there was barely any time before the game ended. Would increase the longevity if there were boosts that increase the time throughout the map. I liked the music but it was quite loud, had to turn down the volume. Hone those addictive mechanics and you’ll have a nice little game here.

It sounds like 5 musics playing at the same time, but not in a good way.\nI like the RPS-style click-to-move, but i kept getting stuck around the dead trees. I found the game quite hard to beat in the allotted time.\nI like the minimal graphics, really retro.

\nI felt that when you hit something and stop, it is quite sudden and takes a second to get moving again. I think the hitboxes might be a little big as I got stuck a good couple of times when trying to run towards / away from enemies. I also would like some way to fight back against the spectres, it feels as though I am always outnumbered due to the amount of livings spawning and the time being basically the same on all of them. It was hard to get all of them each time which meant I was almost guaranteed to have to run from spectres so something to help that would be nice
\nIn general, the graphics are simple but you know what each thing is/does so it is nice and clear. It is a cool take on the theme of death, having death and rebirth (kinda) and then death again. You have it all! Cool game all in all, nice job!

\nThis was too hard for me. Clicking didn’t really work well with obstacles and the time limit. Maybe it’s something with hitboxes - it’s hard to tell.
\nI’d prefer much more to have more time, but some score attack. Or maybe it would gradually get harder. Alternatively game over when the first counter gets to zero seems quite harsh. It could turn into a monster or sth.
\nI wonder how did you play it a lot while playtesting, and how far did you go. I start thinking that’s impossible to get to like 20…

I was never able to gather all souls before they turned.
