A fun platformer, if a little graphic (not one for the kids).

The sound effects are good, I liked the animations.

\n

Some of the levels are quite tricky, I had to do some wall jumps to get up on top of platforms.

\n

I saw the game supported gamepad so I plugged one in, but it didn’t work, upon further inspection I found an error in the console

The animations are great!!! I loved the reload mechanic and blasting through zombies. I sadly fell in the bottom of a pit in the second stage and couldn’t continue ;_;

Cool graphics, especially the blood effects! I liked the respawn mechanic too once I figured it out. You really need to explain that you can wall jump, because since there’s no animation for it isn’t obvious and at first I thought I was stuck. Having to mash reload for each bullet was a little annoying as well.

Some small tweaks there maybe in my opinion would make it more fun, but I still did enjoy it a lot! Nice work.

Nice AI, animations and fx, shooter is fine for 13kb!\njumps should have been improved, a bit too slow, and a double jump mechanic a bit special over walls.

special mention for tutorial at the beginning to indicate controls, making them easy to understand, even if I would have love to jump with spacebar too

Person and zombie graphics are really well done, shooting and reloading are great, also liked the blood splatter FX.

Enjoyed playing through, was quick tricky at times, made it to the end of stage 3. Died a few times trying stuff out!

Was good to see a few different enemy types, some jumping, some walking but also different layers of protection!

\n

Improvements: jumping was a little slow and the platforms could have some texture / further design to them.

\n

While the fighting was a little tricky at times adding in more enemies and a faster shoot rate might add some more fun to the game.

\n

I like to play with WASD so the shoot button was awkward, had to use arrows; spacebar for shoot would be good.

\n

Just my throughts but a good entry!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t really play this game. I have “search as you type” enabled in my browser, so every time I press a key it brings up the search. You should call .preventDefault() for all keyboard events to prevent this. This meant that I could not shoot.

It’s really satisfying to kill the zombies. The blood splatter effect, the sound effect, and the bullet trajectory are made really well. The walking and reload animation are also well done. Unfortunately, the game becomes too repetitive, and I stopped after reaching stage 5.

The stages seemed like they were the same (maybe procedurally created), and the number of zombies increased, and sometimes with body armor, so I could see some progress each level, but I wish there were more variations because It was a really fun game to play.

\n

The sound effects are nice, but I felt some of them were clipping. Maybe it was the sound effect itself, but it got too gritty sometimes.

\n

I don’t like the gravity of the player. It feels like I’m floating instead of jumping. I also wish I didn’t land on top of the zombies, because I couldn’t shoot them, but they could hit me. I died a couple of times in the begging because of it, but I learned to not jump on them.

\n

Overall a good entry

Cool game! I dies on stage two but it’s an interesting game. It’s a bit of a maze to find out where the end is and I got totally ambushed by dozens of zombies in that room.\nKudos for implementing a variety of controls. Not enough people care about that. The movement is fluid but a bit slow in the jumps. I noticed I can jump on the walls, is that on purpose? It’s nice.\nThe animations are so good. I’m surprised there’s no jumping animation when there’s a nice reloading animation. Also surprised you could fit that sort of thing in the game.\nGood sound effects and automatically generated levels.

Really fun game to play !\nThe shooting damage is precisely calculated, it was very easy to understand with the blood drop as feedback.\nThe rogue-like stages are great to see in such a small size, well done!\nThe author must have put some effort into the level and difficulty design, some surprises will eventually got you.\nThe thing to improve might be graphics and jump controls. And maybe make it easier ? just a little bit

I like the procedurally generated levels. Pretty fun and well made! The platformer physics could be a bit “tighter” with higher gravity. Now it feels like jumping around on the moon.

Smooth controls, relatively intuitive. Thought the spacebar would be used for something for keyboard input. Love the diversity in the way to play - keyboard, touch screen, controller. Spacebar is usually jump, Y is usually jump, but other than this is was pretty easy to pick up controls. Love that there is a little tutorial-like thing at the start to help the player get familiar with the controls and game.

The graphics are very smooth too. The bullet spray is very cool; nicely done. The character movement and even things like reload are smooth and also very well executed. The way the character moves is just so well done; smooth, life-like. Although jumping does feel really high.

\n

Rather brutal game though! The door to end each stage is cool and the sound effects are very good. They make for an immersive experience. Having a shot gun is also very cool. I didn’t get super far into the game, but I do hope there are weapon upgrades! If not, this would be a great thing to implement for your next version.

\n

The randomly generated levels are a fantastic idea. Well done on this.
