I like the different skills you can use, boost your stats or weaken your enemy. I tried to do cheesy tactic and only use “Scratch” but eventually in Area 2 I was killed and got back to the beginning.
\nThe thing I would love to see in this game is more visual and sound effects because when I didn’t hear any music during fights or some sound effects of hits, I felt like something isn’t right.
\nOverall, I enjoyed that the game is not very easy, fights can be demanding, I restarted the game few times because of deaths. Story in the game could be a little bit more expanded, after the intro I didn’t really feel this journey, just random fights with monsters so that was a bit sad but the mechanical side of gameplay was pretty fun and challenging for me.

\nI wasn’t sure exactly what I was doing. Perhaps a short trainer level would help to get used to the game mechanic?
\nThe graphics are a little basic but work ok for this, in some places the writing doesn’t fit in the boxes so gets truncated.

Also a short description of what each skill does before selecting them would have been helpful. What I really loved are the atari-like sprites. This added a nice nostalgic feeling.

I also like that you tried to have a little story to it, although it is a bit silly, it still adds to the game. The game is pretty hard, which I don’t mind (I couldn’t beat the final boss).
\nSome of the hardness comes from not being able to tell what each ability does clearly. I think it would benefit the game if it were more clear what each ability does. I would write below each ability what it does, I.e. deals 3 damage. And also the action log on the left is a big grey blob of text. A small change but big improvement would be to highlight the main part of each action. For example highlight “dealt 3 damage”. Its very hard to extract the important info from the action log and thus make out what happens in the fight.
\nOverall its an interesting game, with a neat style.

I’m a little bit confused with everything that is happening, because it happens all at the same time. A little delay between actions would really help.\nIt would also be useful to know what the moves actually do. It’s not obvious what crying does before I use it.\nIt’s a bit awkward to click on the top text to skip dialogs.\nBut overall it’s a cool game, but very challenging. The graphics are very vintage but in a good way. I wish there was some music or sound effects. I like the short intro, and the little jumping animation, gives the character some personality.

I wasn’t sure where to click to continue playing. Maybe it would be better to have a click listener on the main container, and not only on the box that says “click to continue”.

Perhaps the simple graphics?
