You are a Major of a small town which is under attack. You don’t have enough resources to stop the advance: sooner or later, your entire town will be captured and corrupted by Enemy. Your goal is to evacuate as many people as possible to safety before it’s too late.

I as a play just don’t have enough agency over the situation.
\nIf I could place the defense guns that would go a long way. I strategically place those to defend as best I can. Maybe even I can choose to take people out of their homes to man a new gun so I can choose a tradeoff between people I can save and people who stay behind to defend, and then see how well I can manage that to save as many people as possible.
\nIf you can tweak that to give me as a player a few more things to do and more control, I think you have a really fun game!

I spent most of my time waiting for the next evacuation. It also were more challenging if the enemies attacked randomly instead of the predictable order.

Building towers means sacrificing some people. but without those sacrifices it’s impossible to save most people.\nAt first I was confused, because I was expecting to actually see a bus. Once you understand that the attack is happening in a triangular shape, you can start prioritizing certain houses. It’s an interesting concept.\nCute graphics. and simple controls with lots of explanations in-game.

I don’t understand why the game ends when there’s still a few people left in the houses though - I could have saved the last 20 people that were still there but the “Left to evacuate” number had gone down to 0 and the game ended.
\nWould have liked to see a bit more polish - for example, the timer keeps going and the game keeps progressing when you have a popup open but you can’t see it and you have to close and reopen the popup in order to evacuate the people which kept annoying me.\nSound would be nice. A bit more variety / progression in levels would be great. But overall a fun strategy game

\nHaving to double click each 5 seconds to evacuate was kind of tedious. Maybe you could make it so you can choose which house will currently be evacuated and then every 5 seconds it will automatically evacuate from that house.
\nOther then that, cool game. Good job!

\nI felt I was stuck with building one canon at the same spot. It would be more difficult if the virus attacked from various angles, making the game more hectic.

\nOnce I had blocked off the virus I just had to play a waiting game.
\nWhen the popup is open you cannot see the timer count down, nor does the button change from close to rescue; you have to close it and re-click.
\nI like the idea; more options would have improved the gameplay.

However there is a lack of explaining how the game works in terms of controls, how you get people to safety etc. The onus is on the player to figure this out. If this is your aim, then having a tutorial specific level would be good.
\nThe sacrificing people part is a little brutal! But it doesn’t feel like I’m actually getting anywhere. I am placing towers and they are being destroyed without the enemy taking any damage. Maybe making the first level a little easier would help people stay in the game. Otherwise, having a health counter on the enemies would also help in figuring out a strategy and ensuring the game doesn’t just end up in a stalemate. Like legit all I was doing was building towers, and they were dying and the enemy kept advancing, even though it looked like they should be dying, or at least taking damage. Took me a while to figure out that you needed to click houses to evacuate citizens. But if you get it wrong to start with, there’s a stalemate where the enemies keep attacking and you can’t do anything.
\nIt would also be great if you could deploy towers or the people in those towers if they are safe. I think mine also glitched out at one stage because I could evacuate everyone without taking any damage. This may be because I built two rows of towers and it stopped the enemies spawning properly.
\nSome music would be great in this game to make it a little more immersive. Sound effects would also help with the game.
