As it’s known, to live a life is simple:
\nI really liked this game, I really liked the overall aesthetic and atmosphere, the concept of the game although initially seeming like a simple platformer was much more fun in my opinion and the destiny cards were a cool addition. The death enemy was a little boring at times but the overall game was still fun to play through even when considering the simple concept.

On my 2nd play through, I survived 35 years. Pretty clever game. Consistent theme and aesthetic. Nice metaphor for life. On my first run, I didn’t pay much attention to which items I picked up, and just blindly grabbed whatever I could. On my second run, I realized that the items were impacting my various stats more. I couldn’t tell if the items were random. I wondered if “good” items would be at the top? Maybe another metaphor for “work hard to live a better life”? But I couldn’t figure out any pattern. Overall, nice job, fun game!

I found it a bit hard, though, to look at the stats and infos while I was playing, so probably some things were lost unto me.

But for me the canvas was taller than the screen, so when i would jump and slide the screen would scroll, which made it tough to play. Otherwise really nice though!

\nReminded me of a gameboy palette. The graphics were good.
\nThe little tune was catchy when the reaper grew.
\nLots of things to collect whilst avoiding the reaper, which gives a nice break to just jumping at sliding along the bottom.
\nWasn’t sure what the ultimate goal was.

The concept is also very interesting, but I found that I was too busy not getting killed by Death to be able to read and pay attention to the items I was catching. This of course was exacerbated when the game started to speed up. Which is a pity because there’s so much complexity under this simple-looking game with all the power ups and the status cards.\nThe size of the level also felt a bit small (in terms of width), and I was mostly stuck in the bottom floor, with very little chance to go to the higher levels.\nIt was a bit annoying that if you release the slide button while sliding it snaps back to before the block. I always expect it to continue until the end.\nBut overall it’s a really nice game, challenging, and well polished.. Great job.

I couldn’t stay on the higher platforms for very long, and apparently this was the way to keep the death small, cause it is easier to get the lower item after getting the higher one. Another thing that I struggled with is that when you get stuck between the death and some wall there is not much you can do, and your life gets drained very fast. Maybe it would be better if the death bumps you and pushes you forward, or if the game stops for a while and reposition the character a bit forward in the level. I liked the graphics and the sound of an old Nokia phone, very cute. Nice touch with destiny cards

Artwork is well-made, controls are simple and easy to learn, I like the idea with random cards, power ups etc.
\nOverall game is very solid and I don’t have anything to complain about. Really looking forward to your future games and congratulations on very solid piece of work!

Fun simple arcade game with some interesting challenge to the gameplay. A bit more intentional level design and tweaking of when items appear would make it more fun. Some of the procedural generated platforms didn’t make for a particular good level, and sometimes had to wait quite a while for items to appear.

The game would be even more enjoyable with a bit more leniency on that matter.
\nThe cinematic intro and tutorial are really well done.

Add some particle effects (dust maybe) and sounds to make it even better.\nIt was an aha-moment when I could go from one side to the other.
