I had some troubles with the way it uses a popup - perhaps my adblocker was interfering with your canvas implementation being able to detect my mouse movements? alternately, it really could be just that I didn’t quite understand what I was doing, but either way I am glad you joined js13k!

\nIt took me a while to understand how to play. Once I did, I could pass a few levels, but up to a point, I was caught even that it was another character that was found.

But I really struggled to play this. It took me several goes before I figured out how to move. Then I managed to hide (I think) behind a tent. The baddie didn’t find me, so on the next level I hid in the tent again and he ran to a bush and the game ended.

I’d have loved it if the playing screen was a bit bigger as well.
\nHowever, the game manages to keep you guessing if you’ve hidden successfully, especially since the sound gives a sense of urgency to the game. Great touch with the creepy picture that appears when you get caught!
\nEven though I survived a bit, in the end I didn’t manage to avoid the killer… ☠️
