Each player move one piece. There is no turn, it’s realtime!\nBUT you have to wait until each move, few time for pawns, more time for rooks, bishops and knights, even more time for queens.\nCoil members have to wait for half a second less. It’s not much, but it can be decisive!

I feel playing by myself didn’t really get me very far as it was too easy. Maybe some kind of bot or AI would be good to add to the mix. The board was quite small on my screen.

\nTo make it more playable with less players, you should have a game start with every pieces on place, then player choose one to embody until it’s eaten, so we can choose a new one :), or choose to change the piece to embody with a longer timer :) (so it could be a 2v2/4v4)

Would be great to be test it with more people.\nThe board is really small even though I have a big screen. Wouldn’t hurt to use the available space a little better.\nThanks for highlighting the possible moves so I can see at a glance where to move hehe.

Are we supposed to have 30 players playing at the same time? It would be fun to test it with that many people, just to see how the game works. Maybe add support for a lobby and choose the number of players that can join. Maybe 2v2 or 4v4, where each player can select any piece instead of choosing one of them. I think it’s worth expanding on this idea, because it looks promising.

I didn’t get the full experience of having a full game, but I can imagine there would be a thrill to making split-second decisions. The Web Monetization bonus is nice, but could be potentially unbalanced since this is a multiplayer game.

\nI’d be against the pay-to-win aspect were it a “serious” released title, but in the context of the compo it’s quite inventive.

I like that. I also like the idea of a Coil Subscribers bonus - it’s something that you can use for your victory or waste totally - really nice. I would only work a little on showing the info about Coil extras in a more visible way… Right now it’s there but if you’re not focused you can easily miss it. Maybe some space or bold text will do the work - it doesn’t need much. Also if you can detect if someone is a Subscriber and give him/her info like “Wow! You’re a Subscriber. Thanks - here’s something super extra for you”. I think that communicating to Subscribers that you’re thankful for they’re support is the best way to not waste your own effort of preparing bonuses for them: they see the message - they’re using the bonus, they’re in love with it and play your game more and more - the math is simple ;)
