\nTested on VR, I cannot get past the first set of cubes which is a real shame.

\nThe sound and music is one of the best I’ve seen. Need to look into the source to see how you did it!\nGraphics look simple but gorgeous.

But the gameplay based on trial or error is… unforgiving. I’d rather have a chance to figure out which cube isn’t gonna fall via a clue or brain puzzle.

The music is also solid.\nHowever, i don’t like that I can’t know which cube won’t fall. That’s just frustrating as a player and always makes me repeat the same level at least twice.\nWould be nicer if i could mouse the camera with the mouse without having to click, as the click doesn’t see necessary. Not sure if this is a VR limitation or not.\nThe only connection to the theme is that i died a lot of times.

Love the style of the game. I felt down a couple of times in the beginning before I was able to figure out the controls. I reached level 6 before it became too repetitive for me.
\n","games":["Hang by a thread"]},{"typ":2,"at":316651688,"author":"Marc Neuhoff","url":"https://constructarcade.com","twitter":"MCHoff1","text":"Topic of death integrated into the game?\nThe game connects the theme of death with the escape from the City of Doom and in the game by climbing to the top of the tower and dying when I fall into the abyss. These elements are only very subliminally present in the game and the story is only introduced with one sentence. The story offers a lot of potential to continue this in the game. For example, a guardian monster may be waiting for me at the bottom.\nGame optimized for 13 kilobytes?\nSmart Aframe compression based on boilerplate.\nGame adapted for WebXR?\nThe game was very well adapted to VR. I got a room with 3D objects that I could move around and look at from all sides, even the walls have 3D elements.\nBeing moved up and down on the cubes triggers very strong motion sickness also due to the speed of the movement. But, this happens very rarely in the game.\nIn general, being moved in VR carries a high risk of motion sickness. Slowly and steadily being moved already reduces the risk very much.\nDesign of the game?\nThe design of the game is very good. The color selection is very harmonious and the moving lights on the wall create a great effect.\nGame interface (intuitive)?\nIt is clear what to do and where I can move and where I should not move.\nIt’s not clear when I run over the edge until the time when I look down and see the circle. As a result, I played the whole game mainly looking down. Sound feedback when I step on a cube can help with this.\nGame experience, getting started, understanding, fun?\nEasy mode should not be in the game, because it completely takes away the challenge of the game and then it is just an experience.\nThe hard mode is fun and gets very hard as the level increases.\nHard mode: I have to wait until I have seen at least once which blocks do not fall. This takes way too long in the higher levels. This is very frustrating.\nAt the beginning of each level all fixed cubes can appear once and only the fixed cubes for 5 seconds. And then the level starts normally.

Still, workable in desktop mode, fun and simple memory game. A shame it doesn’t work in VR, as the falls might be something to dread.
\nJust one question, what is the death theme relation? Death by falling?

\nGraphics are good, the routes were good the way you sometimes had to go backwards.
\nGot as high as the orange level
\nMusic was atmospheric and SFX were good, The whole game was good fun.

You nailed the atmosphere with the graphics and sound, and the puzzle is one I’ve never seen before. The vertigo from standing on ledges is great. It really shows the potential of VR! great job.

This may be silly, but: the cubes look awesome - great job there!
\nGameplay is mostly fine, but I still couldn’t figure out the logic on which cube is the safe one. I end up guessing and trying to see which one didn’t fall so I can retry next time, making for a very frustrating experience.
\nThe visuals are pretty neat, especially for a 13kb game, but the vibe is kind of ruined when looking up or down and you can see the “end” very clearly. Maybe try adding some fog effects?
\nMusic is OK, although a bit repetitive. SFX are great, with the wind and the chimes for the cubes. Great to see some additional features, such as saving progress, difficulty level, etc. WebXR support is great.
\nThe connection to theme is a bit loose, especially considering when you ‘fall’ you retry the last level, so not really ‘death’.

\nNevertheless, you build a great experience !!! the immersion from a graphics perspective as well as audio is great. You really took great care of the overall artistic choices and It is a pleasure to try and climb in the game.
\nI love the overall vertigo feeling one can have in VR.
\nWell done for this great entry !!!
