Nice presentation, great shadows and funny idea, but mazes are always very boring gameplay wise, because they feel random, I cant use any previous knowledge so I have to try every possible path, which is not fun.
\nNext time try to do some level design, adding rooms that somehow make sense.

\nI also liked the fact that you couldn’t see the whole map and the person was lighting the way. It made it a bit harder to navigate through the maze though.\nI think that you could change difficulty of the maze. Not sure about the black cat part of it though (except the luck counter).
\nThe lighting and graphics were AMAZING!

The lighting looked cool. I also liked how you implemented the bad luck and how to recharge your luck meter was very witty!

\nI like the variety of objects that you can interact with.
\nI noticed that the large ladders you can walk under (just after the first tree) didn’t make any sound effect to communicate that you’d lost luck. I died in that area without realizing what happened.
\nI gave up in the area where you have to smash all the mirrors, haha.
\nBut, I think it was a very cool entry!

I love how there are some torches in some areas while in others it is pitch black except for your carried light source. The mazes were challenging and I mostly randomly tried each route and did a lot of back-tracking, which made me wish there were jump scares and more kinds of light. I wish the main character was a CAT with four paws instead of a person with two feet. A very cool entry! Great job!!!

The lighting is really fantastic too, and I found the mazes to be interesting to walk through. Well done with your entry!

I used a ray tracing like yours.\nThe controls and atmosphere are very cool, and it’s quite long to finish since the map is big.

\nThe dark maze with the circular lighting effect reminded me of one of my own old entries from way back in 2017, Neon Dungeon: https://js13kgames.com/2017/games/neon-dungeon
\nBut yours has a lot more lighting / shadow effects and animations.
\nI found the game pretty hard because you have both a time limit and there are many obstacles that can hurt you, also the pitch black large maze is pretty hard to navigate without a map or anything. It’s not a bad thing though, makes the game really challenging.
\nI just wish I was controlling the black cat lost in the dark instead.
\nGood job including different audio cues as well for the different actionable objects!
\nWell done, good luck with the compo!
