A 13kb interactive music experience for Desktop, Mobile and WebXR.

\n

You’re dead. There is one thing left to do: go beyonder.\nFollow the flow, or be a lost soul forever.

\n

You move in the direction you’re looking.\nGo faster by using a mouse button, trigger or touch.\nHow fast can you reach the place that lies beyonder?

Very chill, I enjoyed playing it and the music was great. Maybe some more challenges along the way would help feel more inmersed. Grat work.

wow amazing soundtrack, and very cool progressive enhancements that tie the visuals to the music. wish I had a VR setup to try it with.

Great music and a cool space effect, felt like an experince more than a game.

\n

Nice to see people try differnet things in the jam!

Kept getting “lost in limbo” within a couple of seconds each time.\nWhich is odd because the game encourages you to read a place “beyond”.

\n

Graphically and musically very impressive.

\n

Probably more suited to VR than desktop or mobile.

\n

I wasn’t sure what the end-game was or what I was working towards other than trying to keep within the glowing embers of a firework gone off in space.

\n

It would be interesting to see where this game goes, lots of potential

Topic of death integrated into the game?\nCombining the theme of death with the journey to the afterlife and thus the beginning of something new is a very nice approach.\nGame optimized for 13 kilobytes?\nIf the game had multiple Megabytes I would not have been surprised. Amazing work!\nGame adapted for WebXR?\nThe entry into VR was very good. I had the feeling that I was actually moving in the room. This appearance was mainly created by the lights, which guided me.\nThe game has no clear lines and consists mainly of blurred shapes. Further, an immersive feeling is only present when the moving lights are also visible. As soon as these were no longer visible, the VR effect was pretty much non-existent. Thus, a lot of potential is lost, but this is due to the game’s setting and quite appropriate in this game.\nStill, the immersive effect is relatively low for a WebXR game.\nDesign of the game?\nThe design is fantastic. The music fits the game very well. Together, the game creates a goosebump effect.\nUnfortunately, the design hardly supports the immersive feeling. One possibility would be to display the lights like a tunnel. This strengthens the immersive feeling and can indicate the direction.\nGame interface (intuitive)?\nIt is clear what to do. The music going off when I’m no longer moving on the flow incentivises my action in the right direction. This is very well done.\nThere is no free will and the possibility of choice for it.\nGame experience, getting started, understanding, fun?\nThe game is a fantastic experience and I would recommend everyone to try it out.\nThe game creates the motivation to make quick head movements to be able to follow the light again when I have lost it. This carries a considerable risk of neck injury. To counteract, as suggested above, it is possible to arrange the lights like a tunnel and make the curves soft.\nIt is an experience, not a game.\nThe reward at the end could be made more satisfying and there is no reason to do anything faster or better. A leaderboard could increase the motivation.

I never thought an entry in this game jam would give me chills, think of my past, present and future! Great music and a fantastic experience. I will definitely take a look at the repository on how you created music for this entry.

Doesn’t seem to work well in VR, getting a “forever lost in limbo” at start most of times, not always though (WMR + chrome).\nApart from that nice music and in-theme, haven’t been able to finish.

I was not able to make it to the place beyond without falling into limbo, but it was a beautiful experience. Extra points for making it work on the Oculus Quest web browser. My only suggestion would be to add some hints or other way to get back on the track to find the beyond.

Incredible music that just kept getting better and building. It was an amazing feeling to play this game. It felt so great to get a bit lost and then find the path again as the music swells! Its almost enough to get emotional. Incredible entry.

Nice esoteric experience! (I tried it on desktop and wish I could have tried the VR version). The pacing is just right (I was about to give up when the stars started to pulsate, which confirmed I was making progress toward the beyonder, so I kept pushing forward)

Really cool experience. Wish I could test it on VR. The feeling of dread when you fall of the path is real. I just wanted to see the structure of the path from far away, but I got lost in the limbo.\nNot much of in term of gameplay but you already know that. Beautiful graphics and music.

Quite original concept. Very relaxing travel around in the space.\nThe graphics fit pretty well the theme although with a bit more polish on them and a few more variations o the music it could end up being a really nice zen experience

I loved this. The ethereal music that slowly builds up, combined with beautiful synced visual effects, makes this a truly unique experience. The controls can be a bit awkward at first, and the ending is slightly underwhelming, but it is still a great entry.

\n

Although present, the Theme plays a subtle part, only ever being made explicit in the texts. I felt like the colorful dots which the player needs to follow are other souls which are also in the process of transcending (not sure this was intended). Regardless, that was nice and could be incorporated further.

\n

The overall experience has a chill, laid-back vibe, so I do feel a bit out-of-context having the “gameplay” aspect be so unforgiving (very easy to stray away and become a “lost soul”, especially with the awkward controls).

\n

The “speed-run” challenge of “How fast can you reach the place that lies beyonder?” also feels a bit off, but it does add some replayability to the otherwise short experience, which is nice. I would remove that, and instead focus on adding more visual and musical effects which are randomized and dependent on player input.

\n

Plays great on XR, although you do need enough room around you to move about and follow the dots.

I love the integration of the theme through the description but was missing it pretty quickly once in game.

\n

On another hand it felt pretty addictive to simply follow the flow and almost hypnotic. The music and graphism are making the game really nice to play.

\n

I wish there would be more intermediate goals to stay and relax longer in the atmosphere you created.

\n

Well done for this great entry !!!
