When you make games that involves a ton of menus you should introduce a tutorial too.
\nThe visuals are very basic for a game that has a lot going on. I think this game would make a lot more sense if we could visually see the toops battle and go to other towns etc.
\nI have no complaints about the controls, but the overall game could be better if polished up.

I completely agree with your perspective. It would be much better if there were a tutorial.\nInitially, I planned to include audio, a tutorial, and some simple animations. However, when I checked the size of the compressed package midway through development, I had to cut back on some content. Even the introductory guidance for starting the game had to be simplified. This was the only way I was just able to meet the 13KB limit. Fortunately, the main flow of the game is complete and includes an ending.

However, it was a bit hard to get into at first. There are many menus and actions (merchant, equipment, combat, troops…), which is impressive in scope! For this kind of game though, it would really help to have more in-game guidance — maybe a short tutorial or some tooltips — to explain the purpose of each action and ease new players into the experience.

\nBut, I had difficulty figuring out I had to equip items on my hero. After recruiting troops, it seems to increase my chance in battle. Though, I continously lose battles with 70-80% chance. Also, I couldn’t understand what ❤ does on enemies at all. I thought I’m decreasing their health, or replenishing mine, but after 10% health, it was game over. If ❤ means join, even when I have fulfilled the condition 100% health + A1 + 1700 G etc., I just lose HP, and nothing happens. Lastly, after battles won with 100% chance I’m losing HP, that I couldn’t figure out how to recover.
\nThe game feels like it has a lot of depth and effort behind it, but as others mentioned the game needs proper docs.
