Genghis Khan was born Temujin and was left out of his clan as he became fatherless. He then climbed, fought, conquered, and terrorized asia and europe.

To play … WASD …

\n

Unfortunately, there is a lot left to do … but it does play!

Hey that’s really good for what it is. I’d be keen to see the entire thing :)

This plays like Vampire Survivors, only with a teeny tiny Genghis Khan as the main character! Move around, try and time it so your spinning sword slices the baddies up, and see how many you can kill. After a certain level, you’ll get new followers that will help you out, tracking after you and killing anyone they meet. As the enemies grow in number, you’ll need to try and collect as many followers as possible in order to progress. It’s very good fun for what it is. I would love to see how this could have progressed with more time spent on it.

This is obviously highly inspired by Vampire Survivors, but I still loved it! The eagle mechanic is really cool, I wish I could have sent my eagle to attack, or have multiple attacks (but maybe that’s against the idea behind this kind of game?).

\n

Anyway I only have a few suggestions:

In your description it sounds like you didn’t finish it, but I think you can be proud of what you have! Would love to see it developed outside of js13k.

Reminds me on “Magic Survival” / “Vampire Survivors”.

\n

It’s a little bit tiny on the desktop-screen.

\n

Good start, would love to see the game with the remaining featuires implemented.

It was quite fun, and felt innovative. It was difficult to understand what was going on at times - like some enemies don’t die but turn into allies, and one time I got some kind of “super shot” which killed a whole bunch of enemies. It would have been nice with a bit more feedback on what was going on, and maybe hints on how I would achieve e.g. the “super shot”. But criticism aside, great job!

OK, at first I thought the game was going nowhere but once I got my first minions, it got really fun. This game has lots of potential.\nYou could make the window stretch to the whole screen, as the game was too small. The graphics are really cute despite the minimal style. The controls are easy but grasping the use of the spinning weapon takes some getting used to. Again, once you get minions, that’s less of a problem.\nWish there was a way to heal and to better control the minions. Also, a way to restart the game without refreshing is a must. Some music would have been a great touch.

Horde survival games are fun! Angry Temujin has potential too, but as you say in the description, there are a few things left to do. The game does play well though. Horde survival games are all about optimizing your build while gradually facing more and more and new types of enemies. In Angry Temujin you get some of these features for sure, but I have no control over the upgrades/new units I get. I also found the graphics to be a bit on the small side.
