And I like that the closing gates bring a strategy element to the levels, you have to plan out your path so that you don’t end up in a corner where all gates are closed.
\nComing to improvements, the controls were a bit too slippery for me, and made quick maneuvers hard, and sometimes many of the speed boosts would spawn under/behind spikes making them unable to get picked. And I wasn’t able to finish the 5th level on normal difficulty because all the gates would close before I could reach the end.

\nThe 3D is well made and immersive.\nI was a bit puzzled by the physics of the ship, it felt like it was too heavy! Also the idea of jumping with a ship is a bit uncommon, I would have felt more of a ship if I could go up & down as I wish.
\nMenu is well made and introduces well the game.

Plays kind of like Starwing - control your glider as it slaloms down the course full of spiked mountains. Grab the yellow orbs to increase your speed, and you’ll need to do that in order to get through the gate at the end which is slowly being closed piece by piece. You can also hit space to jump into the air, which is very useful because contact with a mountain is instant death. But it costs you a bit of time as you glide back down again. The controls are lovely, the graphics fit the style perfectly and it has basic sound effects. The author said there was 4KB remaining which could have contained enemies, music and more - but I think the core concept here is spot-on without any of that. The only thing that may have elevated it would have been music, or maybe some kind of thundering ‘slamming’ effect as the gate pieces drop down. But that’s a tall ask for a 13KB game anyway.

Using boosts for jumping is for emergencies - when you’re about to crash - and comes at the cost of losing a boost, which reduces your speed. Using boosts right away would have the same effect as not collecting them at all. I wish I’ve articulated this clearer in the game.

\nThe courses were challenging, but the speed vs response seemed about right.
\nThe menu system was good and easy to navigate.
\nThe info suggests I should be able to jump? But didn’t go into details on how to achieve this.
\nFor me the hitbox for the boosts was less generous that the hitbox for the obstacles.
\nI saw some boosts placed overlapping obstacles, which were not possible to collect.

I especially like the way you can see the end gate, and the parts of that gate closing. A constant reminder of your progress, and a fun element to overcome once you reach the end as well.
\nI feel like this is setup really nicely to be a neat mobile game too, with some fun music and a bit more graphical polish, this would be a real blast on mobile (and the kind of game you play throughout a busy day whenever you have time for a few quick rounds).
