Tricky. My scores were 50, 60, and 30. I wasn’t able to reach the golden wind rose. I suspect there’s an easier way to play it, I was frantically pressing W and space to try to jump and climb upward. Seems like it could be a fun game, maybe an easier intro level to help players learn the basics. Congrats on submitting, nice job

Thank you very much for leaving a comment.\nYeah i was planing in doing a more friendly intro but i ended up not having enough space for a little bit more scripted level. Next time will go smoother :)\nYes there are a couple of play-styles one can discover. Let’s just say that i played into not only the fear for the number 13 but also that this fear comes from a matter of luck: waiting for the 13 or Jumping into it might pay off.

whoa that was intense! once it gets going, what a frenetic, brutal, tight experience! I was unable to progress very high, really at all, but I could see that with dedicated practice and the reflexes of a teenage mutant ninja coder I could succeed at this awesome game! I few times I got up a ways by moving randomly, just spamming the movements and jump lol, but if I moved with intent I never had the skill to get anywhere and left feeling like the game was just way too difficult, fast, and complex for me to enjoy but looks super fun for someone else who can think 10x faster than this old gamer! makes me wonder - how fun would a slowmo mode be? =) I would love if the entire game ran at 50% speed hahaha but I feel the same way about life in general. awesome work.

Interesting use of the 13s timer.

I could never get very far as the yellow blobs got me every time. Was also not sure where I was suppose to go our how to get there with the changing levels. It felt like I would make 2 steps forward and then 1 step back.

The golden arrow was leading towards the windrose.\nFor both the high difficulty and the objectives, i should have done a small tutorial. Unfortunatelly, i did not have enough space nor time for that.

Hi! Thank you for the comment and playing the game. Actually it was both the rush and the fact that i’ve reached the 13kb. I’ve identified three major problems with the game:

Everything could have been addressed by a tutorial to explain how to latch onto walls, how to track the windrose, ecc. But there was not enough space nor time for it. I should have made less content like more enemies/weapons to make room for the tutorial.\nI’m happy you all liked the graphics. I’m no artist and i was worried my pixel art wasn’t enough.

The graphics of this game are nice, good job!\nUnfortunately, the controls and the gameplay are not as good. It’s hard to move, to target or to even finish the first level.\nMost of the time, the exit point is not reachable. I gave up trying without ever reaching level 2. That’s sad.\nThe sound effects are fine, but I would have loved some background music.\nFinally, I felt the link with the theme of the competition was a bit weak. Overall, I think it is a good game that could become great with a few improvements.
