A fabulous take on the timed life mechanic, this game reminded me of Minit. Great job!

Very nice gameplay, which could have been a hit back in the good old days of the AMIGA :-)
\nThe customization options and overall the pixelartstyle is great.\nThe cozy music and the carefully placed sfx match the game…\nAlso worth mentioning: two supported options for the controls (keyboard and gamepad)\nGreat entry!

The way some blocks were designed were a bit unintuitive, but I got used to them.

\n

Controls were very easy to use.

\n

Great use of the theme.

Interesting mechanics. Got stuck on fourth level, maybe could use some simpler levels to introduce new mechanics here and there, before giving the complex ones.

I loved the look of the game and how it played, the puzzles were fun.

\n

I’ll have to play again with a gamepad, and come back to it to try the level editor too.

\n

I could have kept on playing this had I not got stuck on level 4 - couldn’t find way to get the keys.

thank you very much, I spent a lot of time creating the puzzles to try to make the mechanics intuitive.\nLevel 4 seemed to me to be of average difficulty, you can try the following ones with the level selection if it poses a problem

Figured it out by the number of steps in the top left!

Wow, a lot of content packed into 13kb. I was feeling very proud after beating level 7, and then level 8 😲 Excellent pixel art, sound effects, music, puzzle design. Fantastic use of theme. This is a total package. Amazing work!

Fantastic twist on a sokoban game. I especially loved thinking about how to use the spawn points to get back to places that would be inaccessible otherwise. I think level 5 and 7 took me the longest to complete and had some tricky parts to it. The addition of a level editor and character customization is just icing on the cake. Great work.

The ability to customize your avatar - I have not seen such a thing here yet - cool!

\n

I like the concept of 13 steps, as well as the ability to change the starting position relative to which these steps are calculated. The “undo last step” mechanic, paired with a 13-step limit, allows you to correct likely wrong routes without starting over.

\n

The sound is pleasant and deepens the immersion in the game.

\n

As for controls, I’m assuming you’re using “e.key” to find the key. In this case, if my OS language is not English, then this code will not work for me. I recommend using “e.code” instead to avoid this problem.

\n

Nice game, congratulations!

The theme is implemented beautifully. I think this is my favorite game yet. It makes good use of the game mechanic, and I have several “aha”-moments. Not only that, but you have a character creation and level editor as well. Truly impressive what you’ve been able to pack into 13kB (12.12kB to be exact.)

\n

The game becomes extra interesting from level 4 because you have to think carefully about which steps to take to complete the level. You cannot just do each task one at the time in any order you like anymore. It gives the mechanic a purpose, which I think is great.

Oh this is so smart! First up, the graphics are lovely. Really nice and remind me of the classic Chip’s Challenge. As does the gameplay, actually. It plays similar to sokoban but with a much heavier dose of puzzle added to it. You have to make it where you need to get in 13 steps, using the activation markers to reach further out areas. Collect keys, move through one-way tiles, fill holes, etc. It’s properly challenging but rewarding to complete - and the fact it even includes a full-blown level editor in the 13KB is nothing short of inspiring. An excellent game, well worth playing.

Excellent entry!

\n

This game is great in pretty much every respect, even without the extras that you have thrown in like character creation and level editing!

\n

Great pacing, intuitive controls and mechanics, packed out content (I’m gonna have to look and see what tricks you used to put so much into this entry), etc.

\n

Levels 7 & 8 were beasts to solve compared to the first 6.

Great entry! This is really fun. As a fun of puzzle games, I really appreciated the clever use of the 13-step limit and how it ties into the theme. It was executed brilliantly!

\n

The visuals and sound effects are also spot on. What I especially love is sometimes using up all the steps to return to the starting point was the correct solution—such brilliant level design is truly impressive!

I’m not a fan of sokoban games (which is funny considering I made a game about pushing boxes haha), but I have to say I love the twists you added! A couple levels had me thinking hard how to get to the finish line with the 13 steps allowed. Nice game!

It’s possible, I’ve wrote it in credits and on github: the art is mostly inspired by “Isles of Seas and Sky”, a great puzzle game I played this year (and a bit inspired by Minit).\nI re-created all the assets like theirs, as I loved the tone, and they were already perfectly affordant

the art style is so op and enabling map editor is very impressive feature to integrate in a 13kb game, the graphics very cool but using 13 steps repeatedly isnt just using 13 steps i do not agree of this to be the challenge
